As long as you are a mile above sea level it counts.

Lionshare - If that were true every resident of Denver would be a member. Legally you must be a mile or more above ground level. :)

Denver residents are exempt, however visitors get credit.

Almost... Sadly in this day and age when the flight attendant starts knocking you really can't ignore them.

One of my faves "dated" a gent who had a private jet and would frequently take her along on business trips. She described her initiation to the Mile High Club. She said the pilot through the plane into a dive making them weightless for about 30 seconds. Sort of like fucking in space.
