Waiting in line to get in a strip club.

shadowcat
Atlanta suburb
Have you? Would you?

I have read a few reviews, including some for my favorite club, for people waiting in line outside the club to be admitted. Usually this is on a Fri or Sat night after midnight.

I'l be damned if I will ever wait in a line. The last time I did that was at Disney World when my kids were very young.

The waiting in line is not that big of a deal to me. What is a big deal is that it means the club will probably be a sausage fest and the QOS will suck. Thus I would tend to avoid the club for the latter reason.

The only real time I ever waited in line to go into a strip club was when the Playhouse near Council Bluffs was new, and before they expanded their building, they would only allow a certain number of people in the building, presumably to meet the fire code. Then they expanded their building and now that doesn't happen anymore.

Nowadays, the only way I end up waiting in line is if somehow, they don't have someone at the door at my favorite club the moment I show up. That said, it happens more than it ought to.

I would not stand in line for the same reason Papi said.

I often go to nude no alcohol clubs that stay open til 4am. But I often leave about 2am and there is always a long line of guys from the bars coming in.

I've found clubs that are packed to the gills with customers aren't really all that much fun if you aren't part of a group. So, if i was in a group, I'd have no problem. If I'm solo there is no way in hell I'd wait in line.

The only time I ever saw a line was at Rhino in Vegas, I went back to the tables.

I usually left before 12:00PM but sometimes at about 12:00PM or 1:00AM. can't stay that long. sometimes When I left I saw a long line waiting. Don't understand, why they don't feel asleep?

Never. If a club is that busy, I don't want to be there.

I do my best to not wait in line for anything. Airports drive me nuts for this, and other reasons. The longest I've ever waited in line to enter a SC was last week and that was behind a group of 4 guys while the dim witted door girl tried to figure out the logistics. And the bouncer/door man was no help to her. About three minutes total and I nearly walked out. I can be very impatient at times.

I've waited in short lines while guys ahead of me are paying cover or showing ID, but not in a long line because the club was full. I can't imagine that I ever would but I suppose it's possible.

If i was a part of a group I would, but i would suggest we go elsewhere. If I'm by myself there would have to be a favorite waiting for me inside. Otherwise no way.

Overcrowded clubs are never fund. Overworked dancers are sweaty and smelly. Regulars are locking up the hotties with the Benjamins. Why wait in line to join this?

Since 99% of the time I go in the afternoon, it's NOT an issue. In any case, no club is worth a line to enter.

I did it but only because it was so short and I had time on my hands. But if it were truly a line, I wouldn't bother. It isn't a party club so it isn't worth standing just for some tits and ass where there's multiple less crowded areas around

Only in selected cases. Not a fan of lines but sometimes I'll put up with it.

Spearmint Rhino in Vegas I would sometimes go on a busy night to meet up with a girl I know. Sometimes about a 10 minute wait just due to large groups of guys all showing up around the same time.

There's a club around here that has an annual holiday and anniversary party. Invite only, they close the club and open at 4 pm for 2 hrs free food and drinks. Those waits have been upwards of 20 minutes.

Depends on the reason for the line. If it's a crowd, no way. As others have stated, it's likely to be too crowded to be fun. On the other hand, if it's just because the doorman is slow, I'll probably wait, at least for a few minutes.

Unlike regular clubs strip clubs want customers inside as quickly as possible.

...never fun. Also, Detroiters seldom wait in a line outdoors in the winter. It's just too damn cold.

No way, I prefer going when the club is slow. If there's a line there are more customers than strippers, I go when there are more strippers than customers.

I've done it a few times in younger/more foolish days, but not lately.

The consensus seems to be anti-line. Apologies for threadjack, but have the anti-line people waited in a line (say, >10 minutes) for a restaurant, or regular night club ? I suspect that there are more yes answers in this category.

Yet, how many tusclers would drive 100 plus miles just to go to a particular restaurant ? So, tusclers will drive many miles to go to stripclub, but will be damned if they'll wait in any line to get in. These same people won't drive far out of way to eat in restaurant, but will occasionally wait in line to get in there. Go figure..........

It's common here at the byob clubs at 2AM. I've waited maybe 5-10 mins anytime on a weekend. One night, I left downtown early, got in at 1:40, no wait. Friends arrive 15 min later and stand in line for almost half an hour. It's crazy.

I carry my "broken ankle boot" and crutches (not when on the bike, however)with me at all times. When I see a line, I put it on, hobble towards the line, and almost always get taken right to the front and go right in wherever.

I prefer to club during non peak times so there are never any lines. I won't stand in line for anything non essential (airport, DMV, etc).

No and no. The enjoyment level goes way down when it's a sausage fest in a club, and economics: fixed supply of dancers, increased demand from too many customers, means no discounts and the dancer will be in a hurry so you'll be short changed.

I don't usually have very many people in front of me. Sometimes if people arrive at a strip club at the same time, a group of 2 to 3 people, sometimes even more, may show up at the same time and beat you to the front door. I have had as many as 6 or 7 people in front of me on a few rare occasions. In those occasions, things were going slow with the girl at the front desk being too slow a lot of the time. As far as time goes, the longest to get in was probably a few minutes.

I have seen a new restaurant where they put out cones in the parking lot for the drive through window line wrapping around the building and a full parking lot. I'm not interested in waiting in a long line to eat unless the food is really really good. Same thing applies to strip clubs but I don't have as many choices when it comes to strip clubs.

If I want to go somewhere where lines form, I will try to arrive early to avoid lines.

Only line I've ever waited in was being the last one out the car as my boys got to the door first.
