Sorting / Searching Feature

I think it would be very helpful if there were a way on here to search or sort clubs by features such as non-smoking, hours of operation, byob, full bar, etc.

Thoughts, comments???

Impossible. You can't get the members to even update club details like hours of operation. They are quick to pound out that review for credit but can't be bothered with the rest of it.

I have never noticed that changes to TUSCL's features have been made by members' requests. There used to be a feature that was a "discussion board" for each club. It was good to use if you wanted to ask questions, or discuss things about a club with other members, that wasn't a full review. That's now gone. The mapping feature doesn't work anymore either. My observation is that there are fewer features available than when I first joined, two years ago. The only new one (as of Dec. 2011) is the "propping" a review or a member, which I find minimally useful.

That may be some pretty advanced stuff – if Google bought TUSCL – then you may get your wish :)

Maybe if you pay for it, founder will be more willing to program it. Heck, even open source has bounties.

I thinking showing props for reviews could be useful, but apparently the evidence of props disappears rather quickly.

I updated incorrect club details on my last review. Props on reviews are only good for bragging rights.

mmdv, just dittoing shadowcats thoughts. Trying to get all the users here to cooperate would be as easy as herding cats.

I have a great deal of difficulty in herding just 2 pussy cats. Getting this membership to cooperate like that is near impossible.

I agree that it would be a great thing but, SC has it right.

If we can't trust users to update the club details and get them right..... that feature would be useless.

I wrote a review for a new club and changed the name on here to match what they had on the sign. Within 3 reviews, someone changed the name to the grammatically correct spelling instead of the true name.

Great concept....... won't work.
