Someone walked into a French Quarter strip club early Monday, shot an employee just above the knee and robbed the business, according to authorities. The robber fled, and the New Orleans Police Department is now searching for him.
Police said the incident happened about 5:30 a.m. at 411 Bourbon St., the address of Little Darlings. A 30-year-old man who works there let the last employee out of the business, locked the door and went into an office to count money.
The man then heard three gunshots, and an armed robber kicked in the office door. The robber shot the man in the leg and hit him in the back of the head with the gun. The victim was knocked out, woke back up and noticed an undisclosed amount of cash was missing, police added.
The victim's injuries are not life-threatening, and paramedics took him to Interim LSU Public Hospital for treatment, said New Orleans EMS spokesman Jeb Tate. No other information was immediately released.

"undisclosed amount of cash was missing"... I'd love to know how much. But I suppose they make multiple bank deposits during the day.
