It's a lot faster for me, but I've noticed lately that avatars and "clubs reviewed"/"total reviews" aren't shown on the main discussion page any more. Just removing that query of information may take a lot off the server load.
It does seem a lot faster tonight than on the last week or so.

I haven't decided on 'faster' yet, but IME TUSCL has be working better for me lately. I've also been using chrome & firfox more so not an apples to apples comparison. I do think dropping the club images has helped.
