Heading to Toronto and Detroit

I write it like I mean it, but mostly they just want my money.

I have a trip that's going to put me through Hamilton Ontario and Detroit Michigan in the next few days. Wouldn't it be great if I could do a monger's visit to each of the nearby strip-clubbing Meccas?

In Detroit, it's just an airport lay-over, so I think I would know where to go. I'm probably going to have time, in which case I'll visit one or two of the highly reputed clubs within easy cab ride of the main Detroit airport. Or, I'm not going to have time, in which case I won't and my decision is made for me.

But for the Hamilton / Toronto area, I'm actually on my own for three week-days at the end of next week. I was surprised, on reading the TUSCL reviews of Niagara Falls area clubs, that old "Suctions" Seductions isn't really the suction-oriented place it used to be ... :) ... Things have changed. If Seductions were offering the type of service it offered back in 1998 or so, when I was last there, then I'd just spend my time out there on Lundy's Lane. But since it seems to have changed, I'm thinking maybe I'll travel instead into downtown or airport-area Toronto. The place called "Atlantis" something looks really good; and there are several other highly reviewed clubs near the TO airport.

The thing is, I'm highly unlikely to have access to an automobile, and yet taking a taxi cab all the way out of Toronto downtown to the airport is extremely expensive. I would be probably staying in Hamilton, then taking a Go Train in from Hamilton to Toronto, and having to get BACK to Hamilton in the evenings, so I would have to plan any trip to the TO airport for afternoon mongering at the latest.

Well, given the above constraints -- sleeping in Hamilton; using only Go Train to get to Toronto (or Niagara?); relying on taxi cab within city limits -- what are y'all's suggestions?

Also, any specifics on Detroit airport-area clubs appreciated, too.

Well, given your criteria, my friend, for the Detroit visit, Flight Club, Bogarts or Landing Strip are quite viable. No doubt, farmerart may have some guidance for the Toronto/Hamilton visit.

For upscale clubs near the Detroit airport, try Flight Club or Landing Strip. For a nasty dive, try Bogart's, which is just west of Flight Club.

Drat. Just got rerouted through Atlanta. Detroit is off.

But there's always the Toronto area. Anybody got suggestions? :)

In Detroit, Landing Strip offers a free shuttle to and from the airport. I'd check the Toronto club web sites to see if they have a similar service.

In Toronto, your best bet in downtown Toronto is Brass Rail and Zanzibar. It's slow during the afternoons and busier at night and/or weekends (12 noon when it opens all the way til 5 pm when it starts to pick up). If yer taking the GO train, once you get off at the Union GO Train station which is connected to the TTC. Take the TTC Subway North up to Yonge and Bloor. From there you can walk to Brass Rail (2 mins walk south) and Zanzibar (15 mins walk south from Rail). The best places to go in the Greater Toronto Area is in the west (near Toronto Pearson Airport). New Locomotion is one and Cafe Atlantis is the other. Both are also slow during the day before 5 pm, but they have great talent there after (esp. on a weekend). Pure Gold (West Mississauga) and Solid Gold (Burlington) will never let you down during later on in the day and closer to the weekend. If you have time, check out Million Dollar and Midway Invader if you have time. While in Hamilton, check out Hamilton Strip. Last time I was there the girls really knew how to dance on a pole and there were some hidden gems. In Niagara Falls, Sundowner - I've only been there only twice and both times were good. Thanks very much to all you guys for chiming in with some helpful comments here, and via the TUSCL private-message system. I had a good trip that did not include Detroit because, as mentioned, I got re-routed through Atlanta. But it did include Toronto, and I was able to visit a few of the airport-area clubs. I will review each club on its particular club-page when I get 'round to it soon, but as a preview, I can say that some of the "prime" clubs in Mississauga near Toronto are all that the reviews crack them up to be. I got inside Midway Invader, Million Dollar, Airport Strip, Landing Strip, New Locomotion, Club Pro, and a coupla others in the Toronto area; and went to Sundowner in Niagara Falls, Ontario on a different night. None of the visits was during a high-volume weekend evening. I enjoyed myself according to the national customs and mores of our friends in the Northern jurisdiction. :) Then I had to come back to the USA.
