POV: How To Treat A Woman

Depends on the lady. There are women who seek out abusers and trouble makers repeatedly over and over. Then there are those who will not put up with that nonsense. Then there is the S&M crowd where both are expected.

I treat people with respect unless they give me a reason not to. I expect the same from others, regardless of gender.

Are the two mutually exclusive?

I think most of them/us want both at different times. I've known the same girl to crave detached purely sexual interaction & then in other instances view sex as a physical manifestation of an emotional connection. I know I'm that way; I tend to much more slowly oscillate between the two than most of the women (/dancers) I know, but we're all the same.

I can treat a dancer with respect and dignity while still largely treating her as an object. It's not much different with civi's, we can be nameless & detached while still respectful and dignified. Its pretty similar to the "relationship" I have with vehicles. I'm polite & respectful (well maintained, stored in a safe place, etc), but that doesn't mean I don't expect my truck to pull the boat out of the water or the Vette to prompt pompous assholes to consider trading in their exotics for real cars.

Drac, I know what you're getting at. Some ladys seek out guys who will treat them 'well' others seek out guys who treat them like dirt. IMO #2 seems harsh, but I know what you mean.
