Two Massage Parlours, One Strip Club Targeted in Early Morning Fires

London[Ontario, Canada] police and fire crews are investigating after three overnight fires in the city's east end.

The London Fire Department, along with London Police were called just before 5 o'clock this morning to three fires, all within 35 minutes of each other.

The fires were located at three businesses on Dundas Street, Oxford Street East and Clarke Road.

AM980 has confirmed the Dundas Street fire happened at the local business, Famous Flesh Gordon's. The second fire happened at The Blue Lagoon Massage Parlour on Oxford Street, and the third happened Virginia's Adult Massage and Spa.

Fire crews say they were first alerted by a passerby who claimed there was fire coming from the roof of the business on Dundas Street. When they arrived on scene, flames were coming from the front of the building. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire before it spread.

"All three fires are considered to be of suspicious nature" says London Fire Platoon Chief, Syd Gatenby. "They are all currently under investigation by the London Police Arson Investigations Squad, the Ontario Fire Marshall's office and the London Fire Department Fire Prevention Division."

Damage from the fire on Dundas Street is estimated at $10,000. The amount of damage at the other two properties still isn't known.

Police and fire officials say no one was injured during the incidents.

Constable Amanda Van Doren of the London Police says they aren't sure if there's a link between the three properties.

"We are in the preliminary stages of the investigation so at this point whether there is a connection, it is unknown," she says.

London Police say they don't have any leads as to what caused the fires at this time, but anyone who has any information is asked to contact them or Crime Stoppers.

Police are expected to remain on scene for most of the day.
