Anecdotal, albeit emprical, evidence suggests...

...that two nuts mitigates the side effects of Viagra somewhat. The last four times my CF/ATF and I have hooked up, twice I was able to get another round in (or should that be "out"?), and in both cases, the stuffy nose (which is the major one for me) and very slight headache were reduced to a bit of a sniffle and virtually no headache at all when compared to the nights where I was one-and-done. Anybody else seen anything like that?

I think it's correlation only, and not caused by the second coming, so to speak. Unless you can shoot your dual wads in rapid succession, I'm guessing the amelioration of Viagra side-effects has more to do with your liver's blood cleansing function. Viagra is among the shortest acting phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitor drugs, if you're getting your second charge off near then end of a session (presuming you scheduled an hour or two), and you took Viagra like a half-hour before you started, then by the time you fire round two, the worst of the stuffy nose/headache symptoms have passed.

@Rod: You're right, at this point it *is* just correlation; as I said, "anecdotal". However, the actual duration of the symptoms seemed to be shorter, as well as less severe towards the end of the effective period. As I said, anecdotal, and completely subjective besides, but over the last year, Viagra's effects on me have been pretty consistent, i.e. pop the pill, 30-60 minutes later pop the nut, and 1-2 hours after that get the stuffy nose and minor headache, which lasts until the 4-6 hour mark after taking the pill, along with some residual stuffiness the next morning. Contrast that with the completely unscientific observation of a shorter total duration, i.e. 3-4 hours, along with no trace of the stuffiness in the morning, when I get a second shot 30-60 minutes after the first. Of course, my observations in no way take into account my general level of well-being on the days when multiples happened. It's entirely possible that I was better rested or something, which enabled both the second shot *and* fighting off the symptoms faster. However, if others were to report the same, it would at least be a valid basis for a hypothesis, though it would need much testing to verify.

@ gmd, Could it be it takes two of your nuts to equal a normally endowed person's one, strictly in terms of distance traveled?

troop take note; I did *not* bring the subject up.

I have been taking Viagra for about 8 years. The only side effect I have noticed is a flushed feeling in my face for about 30-45 minutes after taking it. I told my best friend that I thought that I slept better the night after taking one. He said "Naw. It's because you got laid".

Hey, georg, you now I'm just kidding around, right?...I mean, don't take it as a personal insult or anything, ok, man? I guess what I'm trying to say, is "Don't stalk me, bro!" ;-)

@steve: I have a lot of faults. Thin skin ain't one of 'em. :) And unless you're a hot female, you don't have much to worry about in the stalking department. Um...er...if I were so inclined in the first place...

.........a second shot 30-60 minutes after the first??? WTF !! Since July 1 long weekend pathetic old farmerart has had precisely TWO shots. What's the 'best before' date on my Cialis prescription?

@art: Well, it *has* only happened twice. But I am getting in better shape, so I'm hoping for an increase in frequency of occurance. And to be fair, the second shot was from a BJ in each case, so it's not like I was having to work very hard. And I hope you're not taking the *daily* Cialis and getting that rate.. :)

I never get a headache but do get heartburn about 4 hours after I take V either regular generic or chewable. If I eat something it seems to go away. If I am going for a "multiple shots on goal" the heartburn can interupt the secon sesson. Any body have some hints on stopping the heart burn? Thanks

@wwpmi: Do you take them on a full stomach or empty one. I virtually always take them on an empty stomach, and I can't remember having heartburn. @Rlionheart: 100mg, half of it about a half hour before I expect her to get there, the other half when she actually gets there.

Do you guys feel that Viagara outperforms Cialis or Levitra in terms of quality of erection, duration of, and rebound time? Reading the pill forums, it appears that the ranking is Cialis is tops, then Viagara then Levitra. With many complaints of headaches and stuffiness for Viagara, and complaints of Levitra not working at all.

I suppose that may depend on the individual. As for me, I got samples off all 3 from my M.D. and Viagra worked the best for me. YMMV:)

Viagra has the most consistent results for me. Levitra works, but only has about 80% of all effects, including side effects. Cialis worked. I lasted longer, but it seemed that the quality of erection wasn't there. Daily Cialis works fine for keeping me ready for a happenstance encounter, but given my virtual exclusivity with my CF/ATF, those have been rarer and I haven't bothered. For my two or three time a month tryst, the Viagra works great. And it'll go off patent next year, so that's a plus.

There will be a side effect of Viagra's patent expiration . When the generics hit the market, it will force the makers of Cialis & Levitra to lower their prices to compete. Can you say cheap ED MEDS?

@shadowcat: My doctor and I had this very discussion earlier this year. He seemed surprised that I would think that way, but who's going to pay even $9 per pill for Levitra when Viagra will likely be about that for a month's worth? And Cialis, which is arguably targeting a slightly different crowd, will, IMO, still have to adjust to complete. People won't want to pay 10 times as much for something that's not *that* different or more effective.
