TUSCL members and participants are codially invited to join in a meet-up in Memphis, Tennessee, some time in August.
Time, date, specific place, and other details still to be determined. Who's in? I am in! (Unless something comes up, of course, but I don't expect it to.) Below are my preferences. I'm happy to acquiesce to the group's preferences in the end, but this is what I'd LIKE.
I don't want to spend more than about $55 a night for a cheap but chain or chain-like hotel.
I will spend mornings at a Waffle House. I will perhaps shop in downtown Memphis (wonderful tobacco shop, the Memphis Tobacco Bowl, smack in the middle of the skyscrapers).
And I want to attend Platinum Plus, definitely; Christie's, definitely; and any places that others have a good recommendation about.
Any time this month (August), but no later. I would prefer not to stay in Tunica, since gambling bores me, though I will acquiesce to the group consensus when it comes to that. I will book my hotel separately in any case, as we all will. (Unless we get enough participants to get a group rate, LOL!)
I prefer a few weekday nights, plus a few weekend nights, perhaps a cascading overlapping set of consecutive evenings.

Well, we'll try again. The Dolls place is on my radar now. And yeah, that business contact has heard the scuttlebutt about me from my previous employers, who (evidently) have been using me as their scapegoat for the better part of a year and thus have torpedoed my capacity to perform any work in this industry in this region at all, ever. The trip to Memphis was more to confirm this suspicion, than anything else. Grr ...
