And Then, it clicked !!!

Here and other places, the question is asked, when and why did strip clubs become a hands on experience ? As opposed to when clubs were just "look, but no touch !!" Was it online porn, Eastern Euro models, or something else ? I have the answer.... wait for it..... First, at work today, the question came up as to whether it was legal for an employer to require their staff to be male or female. I remembered the one exception to this bias-which came from a U.S. Supreme Court case. And so, the answer is- HOOTERS In the early 90's, I discovered Hooters, and at the time, Hooters was thought a bit risque. However, everything changed with the lawsuit. Some effeminate black guy, through the ACLU, filed a lawsuit against Hooters because they wouldn't hire him as a waiter. The suit reached the U.S. Supreme Court (legitimizing Hooters once and for all). I was a Hooters fan at the time. At the time, the only difference between Hooters and a strip club was that a strip club charged an obscene amount of money to just look. The strip clubs had to compete. The VIP/Champagne room was invented and a table dance (all air) quickly gave way to the hands on lapdance. And there you have it kiddos.

I thought the contact lap dance hails from The Mitchell Brothers' O'Farrel Theater in San Francisco. They were also responsible for the "Behind The Green Door" porno. So lots of history there, and it's a VERY expensive place (afterall they bill themselves as "The place for public sex in America."

Sam, true, but MBOT is really expensive. No doubt they milked the Silicon Valley boom and housing boom.

Whatever caused SCs to go from air to lap dances is ok in my book.

I think its just a natural progression, like internet porno guys expect more so girls are willing to do more to make money, and the economy has a lot to do with it.

So the next progression is active sex clubs and legal extras?

I think the history of hands on action at strip clubs varies according to geographic region. In the Detroit area, it certainly started way before Hooters came around. In the early 70's, there were a lot of very hands on strip clubs in the town of Highland Park, a city whose city limits is totally within the boundaries of Detroit. In those days, the big thing was bare penis hand jobs. They eventually got a new mayor who cleaned up things in Highland Park, but similar activity soon started popping up in strip clubs in Detroit. But way before strip clubs even existed, there were dance halls where you would pay to dance with a young lady, where she would soon lure you into a corner and unzip your pants, pull out your penis, and give you a hand job. These places go at least back to the 1950's, possibly even before that. I also remember Burlesque houses in Detroit in the 1960s where if you sat in the first row, you had a good chance of getting a blow job from one of the strippers on stage.
