Sources ID Stripper in Judge Camp Arrest

ATLANTA, Ga. - There was new information Wednesday about a stripper who says a prominent judge paid her for sex and to buy illegal drugs. A source said it was Sherry Ann Ramos who turned government information.

The government didn't release Ramos' name, but sources confirmed the identity of the stripper who blew the whistle on federal judge Jack Camp.

"We are trying to figure out how a convicted felon worked in our club," said attorney Aubrey Villines.

Villines said he now knows the exotic dancer and FBI informant working at the Goldrush Showboat club was Ramos.

FOX 5 News confirmed the 26-year-old Georgia woman also worked at the Follies strip club in northeast Atlanta.

Ramos is now the center of a public corruption investigation that led to the arrest of Camp, a sitting U.S. federal court judge.

The government alleges in a federal complaint that the 67-year-old judge had a wild relationship with the young stripper. Federal investigators said Camp and Ramos snorted cocaine and did other drugs together.

The allegations also include weapons charge and payments the justice supposedly made to Ramos for sex.

According to government investigators, the six month investigation came to an end in a parking lot outside the Velvet Room nightclub when Camp was arrested last Friday night.

FOX 5 News has learned that Ramos had a sorted past. The Whitfield County Sheriff said Ramos was arrested there on numerous drug related offenses.

Owners at the Goldrush Showboat are questioning how Ramos ever qualified to dance at their establishment.

"When they apply for a permit, they must go through a background check," said Villines.

Both clubs said Ramos is no longer employed with them, but owners want to know if the government placed her in their establishments knowing she was a felon.

Camp's attorney said the judge will be cleared of the charges against him.

I wonder if this Judge would have been busted if he kept the drugs out of it and just focused on sex instead. Pretty creepy thinking exotic dancers work as FBI informants. Hopefully it is just to make drug busts and not prostitution busts...

steve, funny, I was just reading that article on FOX News.com and thought about posting it here. I know the place well. I have a favorite there that takes care of me. I was thinking of making a visit there this coming Thu but now not so sure. Even if she is not the informant, the place might be on edge right now.

I'm guessing it was after-hours for regular Rx outlets, so he went the 24-hour route and lucked into a double-dealing stripper informant.

I hope they throw the book at him. This judge was known for giving out tough sentences himself and quoting Shakespeare. He sentenced a doctor 10 years because he prescribed drugs to Chris Benoit, the professional wrestler who killed his wife, son and then himself in 2007, even though Chris Benoit was probably taking more than just prescription drugs when he went crazy.

The bitch worked at both of my favorite Atlanta clubs. The Goldrush Showbar and Follies. I took one for the team today and made a visit to the Goldrush to see if the dust had settled. It's a dirty job but someone has to do it.

I learned that she worked at night. She was white. Her stage name was the same as her real name, Sherry. Ramos was her ex husbands last name. The consenus is that she set up the judge to gain favorable treatment for her past drug violations. For the previous 2 days the cops had made several visits to the club. Someone even called the club to ask if cops and judges got in for free.

I am happy to report that things are back to normal. I took my favorite to a VIP room and she assured me that all was ok. It was. She contributed to this report.

I also am wondering how she got her dancers license to work at the clubs since GA clubs require them to have one and they get a back ground check (She was convicted felon and never should have got her license). Example of how the Feds come in and fuck things up. A normal licensed stripper would have not been doing that shit.

I do think she set up the judge to gain favor, but I also think the Judge was a dumb ass. He spent years listening to bullshit in court yet he falls for STRIPPER SHIT.

Looks like the feds allowed her to work as a dancer in order to get further info on drug-related activity, since she appeared to be an "expert" in that area. It happens all the time...maybe not with strippers though...

Just read a new article about it, and it claims the Judge had a head injury falling off a bicycle a while ago and this have explained his abnormal behavior of going to strip clubs and doing drugs. He may have got addicted from the pain killers that he was prescribed when recovering from his head injury.
