He explained to officers he'd called an escort service, which sent a young woman in her 30s to his apartment Wednesday night. After an hour, the woman informed the gentleman that it was time for her to leave. But, she said, she was having such a good time and really liked the gentleman. Would it be alright, she wondered, if she stayed the night, the gentleman remembered. He told police he approved the arrangement and they partied into the night, consuming several bottles of wine. When the gentleman awoke the next morning, the young woman and the gentleman's wallet were gone, as was $157 in cash from his pants' pocket. The gentleman told police he walked to his bank to cancel his debit card that was in his wallet. He discovered his bank balance had gone from around $1,600 to $33. And, by the way, he told police, the young woman had told him she was a parole, just recently released from prison. It appears to have been an expensive night.

I was waiting for the part where he got arrested. Maybe they figured he'd suffered enough and let him off easy. What a jackass. He's still walking the street and didn't get mugged or killed while compromised. The guy should be counting his lucky stars.

I'm still stuck on whole "he went to the police" thing. Really? For starters, one shoud NEVER go to sleep with a strange girl. I always kick them out when I am done with them, just to avoid this type of shit. But if I ever WAS this dumb, the last place I would be is at the police station. Imagine this scenario: "Hi officer, I paid a girl for sex and then she robbed me. I'd like to file a complaint." WTF. Cancel your cards, shit for brains, and chalk it up as tuition.

How does one fall for such obvious bullshit?

She was probably a former dancer at Diamond's Cabaret in Dayton. That place is filled with ROBs. Hope they can trace where she used the debit card and maybe one of those places had cameras. I wonder if he calls the escort agency to complain, if they will cooperate with the police in finding this ROB escort.

Maybe he was so drunk he didn't remember he gave her the cash and card. It could happen!

Bigdude... You're absolutely right. He shouldn't have fallen for it, especailly since he was 60 years old. He should have known better. He also should have gone on [view link] and found a girl through there. Found one with good reviews AKA a proven track record. Just like researching clubs, there is wide range from rip offs, ugly fat girls and low performance to model types, GFE types and hot sex!!!

If I were to ever get into escorts, or even one night stands with strange women, I would purchase a modest good sized solid safe. Put everything critical in the safe before the escort arrives or when the date uses the bathroom. If you go to sleep you might loose some CDs or DVDs, but your wallet, cards, cash and laptop can be locked away.

SD - Now I have a mental image of a petite escort struggling to carry a safe to her car.

lol, steve229, it would probably be her thug boyfriend/pimp carrying the safe. Oh man, the things we do.

From another perspective... Were the escort MG, she could have whatever she wished and I would carry it for her!

The safe idea could backfire into more attention paid to the kidneys...

Saw a safe at Sam's Club for home or office use. It would take a forklift to move it.

It would be difficult to take a safe to a hotel room. But worse would be to take a stripper to your house.

Leave everything except the fee in your car. Hide the keys somewhere in the room. Alternatively, while I've never used one, some hotels have safes available for a fee. I've even seen a few with them in the rooms.

Don't bring an escort (or a stripper) to your house. Pay for a motel. You aren't dealing with the upper echelon of society. Do you really want an escort to know where you live and invite them in to see what nice things you have for their friends to come steal down the road?
