LAKE WORTH, FL--Twenty-two people were arrested during a prostitution sting called "Operation Cheap Trick," according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
The sting was a response to numerous complaints from the community about prostitution activity in Lake Worth, according to Teri Barbera, PBSO spokesperson. "This operation is designed to deter individuals from patronizing local prostitutes conducting activities in District 14 and Palm Beach County."
Undercover deputies arrested four prostitutes. Three of the four prostitutes were charged with Felony Prostitution due to their prior prostitution convictions, according to PBSO.
Customers were also targeted in the sting. Eighteen men were arrested on prostitution charges after they solicited undercover deputies posing as street-level prostitutes and were booked in the Palm Beach County Jail, according to PBSO.
