You've evidently identified a new phenomena: drive by boob jobs. Only too bad she got 'em done before the government health bill goes through. I don't know whether cosmetic surgery will be covered, but from the cost numbers flying about, why not?

I was just about to leave the club a couple of weeks ago when I saw this gorgeous pair of knockers. I ended up spending an extra $100 because of it. No real good mileage but damn those things were huge. I was caught up in the moment and the next time I saw the dancer I did not think they were such a big deal anymore. I got it out of my system. Also clubs in Columbus clubs are pretty strict about wearing pasties so I have become less captivated by boobs in the past 2 years or so.

Mine had a boob job a few months before we hooked up otc. Living right on the border (my house physically faces into Canada) I have spoken with dancers where they get their plastic surgery and not one of them will go to Canada - I had my lasik eye surgery done in Canada before it became common in this country.

The reasons they do not want to go to Canada is that they want to be able to sue in US courts if anything goes wrong and secondly now a days the majority of them do not have a US passport to return back to this country.

With the dollar falling now the US/Canadian dollar are almost at par ---- when I got my lasik the US dollar was worth 1.50 Canadia dollar so it also affected the price.

I recall the interstate from New York City to Montreal being one of the most deserted, particularly through upstate New York. There's just not that many New Yorkers who are closet Franc-o-philes and/or willing to brave the metric system. That 110 km/hr speed limit isn't quite as robust as it sounds.

I will always remember when the system changed to metric in Canada and the dumb asses from detroit thought that the speed limit was now 100 mph on the 401 up to Toronto ------ it got so bad that the OPP (Ontaario Provincal Police did not bother issuing tickets until you broke the centruy mark ----- now they leave you alone on the 401 until you are over 150kph or about 94 mph.

There seems to be primarily two reasons most women get boob jobs -

1. strippers get them because they are convinced that gi-normous tits will get them the big cash

2. non-stripper women get them because their boyfriends/husbands talk them into it.

Although there are probably many other reasons why they do it, these are the two scenarios I've run across the most.

Vince, I don't think I ever met Danielle. On the night I spoke of above, that particular dancer lacked competitors in that endeavor. On other nights, there was a blond present to give her a run for her money. Plus, I know there were several others active as well, but not anywhere near as frequent as what I mentioned above.

I don't think many guys pressure their girlfriends/wives into boob jobs. It's REALLY common for relationships to end after a woman gets new boobs. Guys get jealous, and women receive a LOT more attention from men, especially if they dress to show off the new investments.

Women get boob jobs and dress sexy for the benefit of other women. It's a power thing.

As for dancers----yeah, it's about money. Women who are fit and hot but have no boobs will see an income increase once the boob job is done. Same in porno.

I'm going to have to agree with Potheadpl, that women get boob jobs (or fancy expensive dresses) to compete against other women. They're competing against those women in order to gain the approval of "more men" (in the generic sense, of being the most attractive woman in the room), so it's a weird yes-no situation when it comes to whether or not they get the boob job "to please men." They do it in order to increase their own capacity to please men over the capacity of other women. So to speak.

Self esteem is a large part of it, especially in the business world. Studies have shown that women with larger breasts have a larger earning capacity as well. Professional women will normally go up one cup size, while the general population will go up two. Of the 5 women I know and have discussed this with, the trend fits all. Certainly a small sample, but still fits the MO.

Don't worry...it won't be covered. As for going up to Canada, sure it will be cheaper upfront, but getting the necessary after-care up there is a pain in the ass if you have to travel far.
