Dancers who don't do lap dances?

There's a dancer at my favorite club who really puts on a show. She wears costumes she makes herself, and is great at pole tricks. When she's on stage the place pretty much comes to a standstill. Every eye in the place is on her. She's not conventionally attractive. Big fake boobs, yes, but lots of ink and a big, muscular body. When I talked to her she told me she makes as much money dancing onstage as the other girls do with laps. And watching the pile of cash she took with her after every set, I believe it.

Is there a real performer in your local SC? This girl is a throwback to the golden age of burlesque. Hell, this is a nude club and she doesn't even get nude!

potheadpl, There's a Latina spinner who does amazing pole work. Real circus de soleil stuff. Everyone stops to watch her like you describe. She finishes by dropping 20 feet and stopping inches from the stage.

I don't know if I have seen one recently. Most seem too lazy to put on a real show, and that type of thing isn't generally rewarded in strip clubs today. On the other hand, I witnessed one of my old favorites come back to stripping make a ton of cash despite being fat because she does put on a good show. She can definitely work the pole (and make me wonder if she'll break it).

"Kennedy" = 5 time U.S. Pole Nat'l Champion who dances at Deja Vu on Midway in San Diego. Among her bag o tricks, she'll invert herself and walk on the ceiling in a circle around the pole in her stripper shoes. Also does the splits upside down on the ceiling. Pretty impressive.

I've seen the opposite, there's one girl who doesn't dance on stage at all and only does lap dances-sit at the bar. I dont know she should be called a dancer, but the club allows it.

"Lil Bit" used to dance at the now closed Memphis Platinum Plus. I couldn't get close enough to the stage to tip her. Later she was walking past me. I stopped her.Complimented her and gave her a good tip.

I doubt that there are many that can earn more on the stage than by doing lap dances.

A club here in Columbus, OH named Columbus Gold has a feature dancer working nearly every weekend (usually a retired porn actress) These girls sometimes will not do lap dances. And only be available for the champagne rooms or stage tipping.

sam, they did not retire.They just couldn't get work. The porn industry is very competitive.The young, new, win out over the Jenna Jamison's. I could describe a typical porn star now doing strip club acts.All the same. SOS.

In the clubs I have been to, a lot of the dancers do dances but tip out not to dance on stage.
