Trip With The OTC Gal

So, here's the setup. I wish I could say that my family put the "fun" in disfunctional, but my mother makes the queen of all drama queens look like a rank amateur, and she keeps everyone nuts. Anyway, it's been 17 years since I've been "home" and when I asked OTC Gal if she wanted to go on the trip, I had no idea mom was going to be out of the country. I was looking for OTC Gal to be my emotional backstop in case mom went on a tear, sending me running back to my therapist, but just days after I booked the trip, I found out mom wasn't going to be there, and the end result was that the trip turned out to be a HUGE success. Please allow me to share the things that turned out right, so that if you schedule a trip with an OTC Gal, it'll go right.

1) Fish and company stink after only three days, so schedule the trip only for three days and TWO nights. The third night will do you in, and I purposely stuck to 3/2.

2) You're going to pop for airfare, hotel, and meals. Agree on a fee ahead of time (I didn't have an additional fee this trip).

3) A woman is at her best at age 24/25. She still has the bloom of adolescence, but she's not nutso and unsocialized like a teenager.

4) Personality is a HUGE factor. Make sure she can blend with people you're going to meet.

5) Schedule a busy agenda for both of you. Don't just leave her in a hotel room alone where she'll go nuts. Women are social creatures and keeping them engaged in activity keeps them from developing issues that will bite you in the butt.

6) One half day must be an activity that will absolutely wow her. In my case, OTC Gal had never been to a mountain top, and a world class restaurant on the mountain top paid dividends down the road (GREAT sex, as opposed to good sex).

7) Agree on nookie ahead of time (in planning stages of trip).

8) Indian casinos have Marriott class rooms, for only half the price. Don't just get a Motel 6 next to a noisy freeway.

Like I said, the trip was a HUGE success. Develop your own trip, but I hope this helps.

Watched hang gliding from High Finance. Do they still allow that sport on the mountain? Did your OTC friend see it and ask you to try.

Dudester, glad you had a great time. You made some very valid points.Especially the 3day/2 night thing. I couldn't stand my Ex wife for longer than that. I fly free and can take friends/family with me at a bargain price. I have only entertained the idea with two strippers. My 1st ATF, who is gone and my current special friend. I have high hopes that this might happen with her. I am thinking Costa Rica and doing the tree top swing.

    Superdude,

While up there, one of the guides briefly mentioned it, but I don't think she's ever seen it, so she had no idea. I had asked her beforehand if she was afraid of heights and she boldly said no. However, she did get queasy on the tram. On the way down, we briefly stopped at the lower tower to pick up a worker-who stepped onto the roof and hooked his carabiner to a safety line. It was reminiscent of the movie Where Eagles Dare and I joked to the guide that we should send three guys to fight him on the roof.

Shadowcat, Costa Rica is more than a 3/2 thing, it can be done in 5 days with an organized tour. However, it's your money, but I promise you, stick to a 3/2 thing and she'll love it, and want more later. Since you're in the southeast, let me recommend San Francisco (or nearby), Los Angeles, San Diego, Branson Missouri, the French Quarter in New Orleans, San Antonio or even Albuquerque.
