The Lost Art of the Strip Tease and the Pole Dance.
Maybe I'm too old school but I enjoy the art of seduction - the tease. The lingering eye contact while they work the pole, the sultry moves from someone who knows how to ace a strip tease. That does it for me far more than having your head grabbed and motor-boating 10 seconds into a song while on a couch at the back of the club.
From the dancer's perspective, I get it. You don't make nearly as much dancing for singles on stage. And even then, people rarely tip frequently enough. But it seems like a chicken / egg scenario. Dancers don't put much effort into being on stage because they don't get enough tips. As a result, people don't tip as much because the dancers are not really into it. And thus the downward spiral continues.
For those like me who still seek the "tease" in strip tease, there are two particulars settings that I've found still focus on the art of seduction. And strangely enough, it's the limitations and laws in place that actually make for a better show. The first are in places like DC that still have the 3 feet "no touch" rules. Sure it sucks that things can't lead to more physical fun. But, since dancers know they can't use their go to "grind their way to pay" technique, they end up pulling out all the stops when dancing on the pole. Some of the best true "strip teases" and dances I've seen are in old dive bars in DC with the "3 foot rule" in place. The other scenario isn't nearly as good but can sometimes still deliver some amount of tease. It isn't actually in a strip club but in the small topless shows in Vegas. Sure, it's a much different setting and the polished "production" of the show loses much of the appeal. I went in not expecting much but have to admit there were a few spots where they actually did a decent job of the tease. Don't worry, this is not me promoting the shows. Honestly, the small amount of tease doesn't justify the price of admission (not to mention all the dumb add on fees that gets tacked on to every ticket these days). My point is simply that it seems the art of the tease seems to be harder to find these days. For me, it's not about the grind - it's about the fantasy and the tease.
So the next time you're sitting in a club spend some time (and more importantly some money) on the dancer working the stage. Give her some frequent encouragement. Let's bring back the lost art of the Strip Tease and Pole Dance.

Way too many also never take anything off while on stage. Those that do often don't remove any clothing but just pull it aside. I really don't like this either. Take your top off darling, I don't want to see your top stretched to the breaking point next to your tits. Or hanging around your waist.
