Friday the twelfth a friend texted me that hk was open. so i made a hotel reservation for Monday and tuesday in zona norte at hotel rizo. then saturday nite he texted me that the clubs were forced to close.
i gave it some thought and decided to drive from my arizona dive to tj anyway. i had my heart set on enjoying an open zona norte. disappointed that the doors slammed shut.
i parked at a trolley stop in the san diego area and trolleyed to the border, exchanged some dollars for pesos, walked into mexico customs, handed over my passport card, got my temperature checked, answered the mexican agent’s question of ‘what is the purpose of my visit?’ which i said ‘a dental visit.’ (being a tourist is not allowed currently.) my card was given back to me and i walked on to the taxi area. a friend met me there and we jumped into a uber and got dropped off in front of rizo hotel which is across from hong kong and cascada hotel.
checked into rizo and my friend and i checked out the area. with the hundreds of visits in the last six years i know where to look for the street girls and where to avoid. it was sooo strange to not hear the music blasting from the bars and seeing all the clubs closed... some of the street girls were out and about in the normal areas and i took sally (the prettiest one... an easy 9) to hotel ibiza. paid 100 peso (about $5us) for a short term room because sally would not walk to hotel rizo as it was two blocks away. only negative of my time with her was that sally is a clock watcher. she called ‘time’ before the ‘knock ‘ in ibiza. about 15 minutes. still worth her cost of 500 peso. (because she is so beautiful.) the sex was ok but all covered. my first street girl in four months.
afterward we started checking some of the hotels for girls that might be available. we spent the evening and tuesday looking and experiencing different ladies that were hanging out... even enjoying a few beers in one hotel. and a great lunch and later a nice seafood dinner in zona rio.
as it was i still had a good time monday night thru wednesday nite. had a total of five girls. the hotel girls were asking the normal bar girl prices $60 to $100us with bg level of service. a few of them even gave gfe level of service... with one giving me an oral exam with her tongue!
woke up late thursday morning, ate a carne asada taco at the cart by ninos heros and coahuila (taco price now 32 peso instead of 22 peso...)
checked out, ubered to ped east, walked past hundreds of people waiting a long time to enter the usa, (i have global entry and had to wait behind two ladies about one minute) and back on the trolley to my bad ass prius. then drove up to anaheim and got royally drunk after visiting taboo sc.
this visit was definitely a different experience with no open clubs in tijuana. i miss the entertainment angle of tj. especially hong kong.

Now I know why I friend of mine says; “I am going to the dentist in Tijuana...” so often.

I could understand making the best of the situation, now objectively with a few weeks to reflect, was your TJ visit worth the time, money, and effort?

man. i miss my open tj clubs.
i’m trying to hold out for a normal zona norte experience.
open clubs. and all that goes with it.
I could only imagine how much the TJ mongering PLs miss TJ.
I suppose you have to make the most of situation if you made the effort to visit TJ but there is nothing which compares to going through those heavy curtains and seeing the BGs dancing on the bars and stage, standing around shaking it to the music, walking around, and walking down the dressing room stairs.
