Black Belts

The majority of strippers eventually become competent at feigning interest for their customers. Most, however, cannot look too far past the next dance or trip to the VIP. They do not have the sense to go for the large bucks and be patient waiting for the long term pay off. One out of hundred though can take the hustle to an extremely high level. It is these rare strippers that I consider as having black-belts in hustling. I believe these are the girls with the success stories of becoming wealthy and getting out while still young going on to a rewarding career or their own business. Last Friday I met one of these black-belts. Kayla is a solid 8 and excellent on stage. After I gave her a healthy tip while on stage, she came over and sat with me at the bar. I bought her a drink. We talked about the show and the establishment. She didn't ask me if I wanted a dance or VIP. I bought her another drink and she expressed concern at the cost of the shot. We continued to talk. Smart, witty and articulate. No sob stories. No feigned sexual interest. This doll could have been making bank working the floor but she sat with me for over an hour just talking. Not once even hinting about giving me a dance. Eventually I asked her to go to VIP. She gave a decent mileage dance and I ended up spending three times as much as I had planned, thus, giving the BB a decent payday. I know the illusion. I know the hustle. Even so, this black-belt had me walking out of the club with an empty wallet completely convinced a smoking hot twenty-something angel found this middle age fatty completely fascinating and entertaining. So smooth. I cannot wait to give her more of my money. A black-belt stripper.

It's true - no matter how jaded, cynical and suspicious that I've become, it's fun to just let myself get caught up in the fantasy on those rare occasions when I run into a "black-belt".

My wife used to be one of these black belt strippers. She was one of the "long-con" type dancers. I remember many nights where she would come home with very little, just change do to not finding the right customers. Then I also remember the nights where she would come home with a couple thousand from 1 or 2 customers. She was a hot little asian, very well kept, could keep up a conversation, and was an expert in keeping the focus on the customer. She provided that fantasy that I think really makes for an explosive night for us patrons, and most of the time with no extras (I am not foolish enough to realize stuff didn't go on - we were pretty honest with each other. At the same time, she never got fired from a club like a lot of her co-workers did for drugs, stealing, or doing extras. And she worked at some of the nicer clubs in the SW - The Lodge in Dallas, The Palace in SATX, Sapphires in Vegas, St. James in Texas, etc). Where she really made a lot of her money was in paid getaway trips by elite clients. She has been to Miami with Citi-Group executives on multi-million dollar yachts during annual business trips (after the bailouts I might add!). She has been to NYC, Chicago, Vegas, San Diego, etc with executives, CEOs, CFOs, top attorneys for Corporations, met and danced for Kobe, Tony Parker, a couple of (Southern Republican) Congressman. I can recall a couple of months where she made between $8K-$10K. Course, that life comes with a price, we learned as time went on. And now, we live the average American married couples life. Still together, even after hitting a particularly rough spot.

I met one of those black belts at Sapphire's in Vegas. Totally made me come back and once again, I left with an empty wallet. So smooth, so patient. Will talk to me for an hour, about everything but what we're both there for, and then when we get started, she's (appears to be) totally into what she's doing, smiling, having fun, keeping me the center of her attention, even ignoring when dudes next to me are complimenting her or staring. Total expert at her game.

Totally dealing with one now. Has already hinted about OTC/GFE and has gotten me for OTC cash. So far no missed calls, dates, nothing, truly a pro (wonder if she uses Constant Contact? LOL). But now we are at a crossroads and she must know it. When I am in town next I will be looking for a little payback on my investment, and I am very curious how she will handle it. She is a vet so I expect something good, or maybe some great OTC (ha, we all hope right?)I shall report back....

SOME GREAT INSIGHT & COMMENTS HERE! i remind dancers feeling down on their luck that they R in business & marketing themselves, this is NOT their social hr. U never know when the guy not tipping is scoping out the club if this is where he wants to have his buddy's bachelor party or entertain clients at. at worst, i ya give guys a REASON to come back to see you, a smart one WILL stop at the ATM next time he comes in.newbies need to remember to average their income by the month not a specific night. yes carolynne, being customer focused DOES count. sometimes i NEED a pretend girlfriend for an hr or until i run out of tens, whichever comes 1st....yuk-yuk
