I have always loved Providence as a great SC getaway. Not only has the SC scene in Providence always been somewhat interesting, but there are a ton of great restaurants and shopping venues. Also, for the NE, one can stay in a beautiful hotel for relatively short money.<br />

I recently took a trip there and thought that I should share my more current experiences. It has been a few years since I spent any serious time in Providence and all I can say is: wow, how things have changed. Some of those changes are good while others were a disappointment. The good news is that I walked away with an appreciation for a couple of clubs that I did not historically frequent. The bad news, however, is that a couple of formerly great clubs have really gone into the toilet.<br />

There are really seven true "strip clubs" in Providence. On other listed on tuscl, Studio 253, is really a modeling/fetish studio. I visited five of the seven clubs, which are discussed below. I intentionally skipped two clubs: Sportsmans Inn and Satin Doll. They are, and really always have been, downtown tourist traps. After all, who goes to bikini clubs in a city with a number of clubs offering nudity and full bars?<br />

With all of that said, my humble opinions of the clubs that I visited, from worst to best, are as follows:<br />

Cheaters: The place really sucks now. I agree with others around these parts that have said that there is a decidedly bad odor floating around in there and that it looked awfully dirty. This used to be a good place, but it is falling apart, along with its hiring standards. What now passes for dancers now in this joint simply depressed me. This place was always a mixed bag in terms of talent when I was a regular, but attractive girls could be found and, in particular, I used to greatly enjoy spending time with a couple of hot Latinas that worked there. During this last visit, however, I struggled to find anything redeeming about the place.<br />

Historically, this was the place where one went to have a really good time after spending time at the more uptight clubs. However, with the loosening up of the other clubs in the area, there is simply no reason to go to Cheaters anymore.<br />
<br />
Club Fantasies: What happened to this club? Once upon a time this was my go-to club in Providence, but the other night was just terrible. While it was never the club with the hottest girls in Providence, it used to have some decent talent and a good party atmosphere. What a difference a few years makes.<br />
<br />
When I visited, both levels were open, but they probably should have closed the upstairs nude room as there were only about 9 girls and 15 guys in the entire club. And speaking of those nine girls, there was a fair amount of road wear and cottage cheese in this bunch. There were a couple of attractive dancers, but most of them were very uninspiring.<br />
<br />
They were holding 2 for $25 dance specials all night, but I could not get motivated enough to partake. This was due not only to a shortage of decent talent, but also the depressive atmosphere in the place. The girls seemed as unmotivated to try to work the guys as the guys were to spend money on the girls. Heck, even upstairs in the nude room, normally a good place for girls to close sales, the dancers barely bothered and even kept their bottoms on during their sets.<br />

Wow, what a waste of a visit.<br />

Foxy Lady: The best I can really say about the club is that some of the girls were hot. Otherwise it was just ok.<br />
<br />
First off, it is a lot smaller than it used to be since they made the downstairs a private club. Now the strip club portion is really just one big open room with a couple of stages and lots of tables. There are also two bar areas, one near the entrance and a tiny three chair bar in the back of the club, but bar seats filled up very quickly.<br />
<br />
Now no doubt that there were some attractive girls, but the “wanna dance” approach that I got from most of them was a real turnoff and really isn’t the norm for Providence. I had conversations with a few girls but just could not get motivated to do much more.<br />
<br />
The place was as gimmicky as ever, with the multi-colored strobe lights and smoke machine in ample use. It was already dark enough on the stage – no smoke was necessary. And as always, the Foxy works hard to try to position itself as a high end SC, as shown in everything from the girls’ gowns to the drink goblets, valet parking and, yes, the obligatory bathroom attendant. However, this is really nothing more than an ok facility and anyone who has traveled to places like Atlanta (Cheetah), Dallas, Vegas, or a number of other locales knows what a truly high-end club looks like. This just isn’t one of them.<br />

Overall it was ok, but just a little too hustle-ish and gimmicky for my tastes.<br />
<br />
Cadillac Lounge: This is an interesting club. It was not the most comfortable place for a bar hanger, but for you table types it was very nicely arranged. The bar area is tight, with a inward facing U setup and chairs packed close together in a way that was not very comfortable. It seemed that movement from the bar area to the tables was encouraged and most of the guys were seated at those tables. Not being a table guy myself, I endured at the bar.<br />

Now about the girls: When I visited there were seven of them that I counted. They were all somewhat pretty, but some of these girls had a little extra padding and a couple of them looked a touch long in the tooth. Three of them looked like Latinas, and after talking with two of those three I learned that they were Brazilian. One of the things I liked about the stage shows was the willingness of some of the girls to go full nude on the stage, particularly a couple of the Brazilian girls. It was nice to see a little full nudity without having to go to a special room or place in the club, which is the case with a couple of other clubs in Providence.<br />
<br />
If you are going to bother with multiple lapdances, you might as well just go for a 15 minute CR. Topless lapdances are $25 and nude LDs are $35, but a 15 minute CR is $50 to the house plus a negotiable amount to the girl. I am very glad that I waited for the right girl and a trip to the CR – I had a lot of fun. Now it did get a little loud back there and the curtain door on the CR room was not quite as private as the door system used at Desire, but the privacy was nonetheless pretty good.<br />

I have to admit that I liked Desire a little more than this place, but this is a solid option and I had fun there.<br />

Club Desire: For starters, if you look up "regulars club" in the Adult Entertainment Dictionary, you will find a picture of this place. Seriously, most of these girls latched on to regulars and stayed put. It took over an hour before I was approached, and even that girl did 4 circuits of the club, and made eye contact with me during three of them, before she would approach. She was clearly looking for someone that she recognized before finally deciding to sit with me.<br />
<br />
Having said that, I ended up having a great time here on multiple nights with the beautiful aforementioned girl. On both of my visits I went back for 15 minute VIPs with her. The VIP area is essentially a few small rooms with doors that close, ensuring a lot of privacy. The cost of the 15 minute VIP was quite reasonable with $30 going to the club and generally $100 to the girl. At that price, doing lapdances makes almost no sense at all.<br />

My girl was very fun and, even outside of the VIP trips, she spent a lot of time with me while I was there. In fact, she spent so much time sitting with, and entertaining, me that I tipped her a little extra at the end of each night.<br />
<br />
I should mention that, outside of having a good time with my particular find, the overall talent was solid in this club. Every girl in the club was attractive, some of course more so than others, but I would not have kicked any of them away. It was a treat to see these girls after the generally mediocre talent that seemed to infest three of the other four clubs that I visited in Providence.<br />

If I was an area resident, I would soon be among the regulars that seemed to represent the bulk of the club’s clientele.<br />
