Hygiene...why is this so tough for some guys?

This may sound strange, but I am not a pervert...but I like to go to strip clubs and see providers.

Is that an oxymoron?

When I was last in my regular club, I had a conversation about with a couple of ladies about what they hate. Universally, they mention bad hygiene and guys who wear gym shorts. Both these things were really foreign to me, so we chatted further about it.

They told me they hate guys who small bad, who clearly don't use deodorant or, God forbid, smell like they have not wiped their ass.

I was stunned.

guys, first rule of getting attention in a strip club is look and smell nice (and flash a shit load of money). A simple hint, if you can't grab a shower, is keep a little sample size cologne in your car, three pumps into your hands then rub it on your neck and cheeks (face, come on now!), then rub your hand in your crotch. The ladies will feel comfortable with you, and it will make your time for fun for all of you.

Next, cotton gym shorts work great if you are in 7th grade PE, but in a club in smacks of pervert. Now, don't get me wrong, there are some girls who will like this, but not many. Dress for where you are going, a tie and sports coat gets lots of attention, but even walking shorts and golf attire shows you want to look casual, but nice.

Spend a couple of minutes thinking about look and scent, it makes the SC trip more fun for you and your lady.
Hygiene is just a given. If a guy doesn't understand that there is absolutely no hope for him. Clothes are a different story. On a recent visit to SCs in the Midwest during an outbreak of outrageous temperatures and ridiculous humidity my attire was shorts and loose loud Hawaiian-style shirts. I was turned away from a couple of restaurants because of my clothes but every SC welcomed me. Universally the girls complimented me on the shirts I was wearing. Probably just stripper shit but the shirts sure didn't hurt the mileage offered. The one night I wore a suit to a club I was swarmed by the girls.
Did the ladies happen to say what they thought of the "backwards pants" thing?

At St. James, I've seen the "landscapers" come in after their shift. They wear long sleeve shirts, cotton pants, boots, and they've been in the sun all day, mowing lawns and revving those two stroke engine leaf blowers. They have their 60 or 80 bucks n their pocket. They ae willing to blow it, and I've seen girls of all types go after these guys. I guess they're so grateful to be around someone who isn't a grumpy mamasita that theyblow a whole day's pay.

i'm not a suit and tie guy, never have been, but i wouldn't even think of going into a strip club without having showered first and putting on some clean clothes.
i've seen guys that work as mechanics still wearing they're greasy oily work clothes come into clubs and some dancers actually giving them close contact dances or sitting on their laps.. ugh. i make a note to avoid those dancers that night and in the future. i expect any dancer that i spend money on to be clean just like i am.

Good advice, but I would caution anyone from using cologne over stink. It smells like...cologne over stink. I've witnessed too many stinky dancers who tried to hide their BO with perfume to attempt that. Shower first.

The wearing of cotton gym shorts in a club in smacks of a pervert! Says who skeets35? You?!? That is my preferred outfit, with NO underwear + a button down shirt. I'm not a pervert & have NEVER been treated as such in a Club. This mode of dress allows easy access to the important area of my anatomy when Clubbing. Of course, this type of dress may well not be allowed in a VERY Ritzy, extremely High Class Strip Club, but I don't patronize that sort of Club. In my early days of Clubbing I wore a 3 piece suit. I see no difference in my ability to attract Lap Dances based on my mode of dress. It is $$$$ & acting like a gentleman that COUNTS in getting dances. I make it known that I have $$$$! And I don't act like an ASSHOLE!

As to hygiene, I ALWAYS take care of that on EVERY way! Too BAD ALL dancers don't look after their hygiene. I've encountered a few who have not!

While I'm inclined to agree with Alucard with regard to "gym shorts" equals "pervert", I'm also gonna say I've never in my life worn gym shorts to a club, and I've never noticed that it makes any difference in the quality of my dances. Admittedly, I've never gotten off from just grinding, even in my younger days, but then, I've always had difficulty responding to anything that's not wet, warm and tight, so even most HJs are usually unproductive for me.
I find that hygiene + cotton shorts are appreciated both by dancer and patron, because of the absence of pants' zipper that can make grinding abrasive on my rod and the underside of her bod. And depending on local rules, dancers' hands can be willing to slide up the leg or behind the drawstrings of loose shorts, to equal effect!

I agree with Steve's comments. When I hit the club, I shower & make sure I'm freshly shaved down there as well as use a hint of some good smelling cologne. I just wear some comfortable kicks and a nice T-shirt to go with some clean basketball shorts. Honestly, the shorts are just so comfortable and most dancers I've got laps from aren't afraid to slide their hands into them :) As Alucard said also, this type of outfit has never caused a difference or difficulty in my ability to get great service! In fact, dancers just pull 'em down or rip 'em off and it makes the VIP experience easier for both parties!
I just think there are a lot of lazy guys out there, but a rare few have the pride to take care of themselves. If we expect women in these clubs to want to be around us, we should look and smell nice as well, even if we're not genetically gifted to have good looks.

I agree with most of you about "hygiene", but in terms of "dress" I think it really depends on the club. Being a rookie at the club scene, I have been to nicer areas like Miami and Tampa and lesser areas like the outskirts of New Orleans, Birmingham and currently El Paso and I think dress depends on the club (i.e. clientele and dancers) and the person. In the larger metro areas I think the girls actually have some "art" behind what they are doing and they know who has the goods to deliver (money et al). The smaller markets, I get very little play dressed up, where as in the larger markets, I have much better success. I found that knowing the clientele, and dressing a bit better than them, helps me more than just going all out and dressy snazzy. It's the old, if you and a buddy are being chased in the woods by a bear, you don't have to be fast, just faster than your buddy. But if you are too fast, you just run into another bear. So I dress the part and be just a touch ahead of the other guy. No doubt my looks get in the way every now and then, but hey, what I can say.

Granted, never tried gym shorts, but I actual had a stripper tell me one time to wear more accessible clothes. I find shorts, if allowed in the club, to be a great article of clothing for easy access and more importantly, depending on the club, ability to easily hide certain activities.

But again, depends on the club, the type of girls and the clientele. However, I agree with skeets that hygiene should always be practiced and that goes for both girl and guy at the club. But I think dress is arbitrary. I've seen many a hot dancer head back with the baller that looks like he came straight from the court. So, she may not like it, but she passed me up for him because he threw a couple dollars her way. There is one for everyone is what I figure.
I've had countless dancers tell me I smell good. The strange thing about that is that I never wear any cologne. If I've gotten hot and sweaty, I do like to take a shower and change my clothes before going out to strip clubs. I feel better without a lot of dried up sweat on my body trapping body heat. I guess not having any body odor or only my natural body odor attracts dancers. I occasionally get body perfumes of dancers accumulating on my clothes during the night. My nose is sensitive and I don't like being too close to other people in general since I often smell all kinds of things. I think my nose is extra sensitive due to allergies. I've read women have much more sensitive noses in general compared to men. I would believe some dancers if they said they stayed away from a group of guys because they smelled bad.
I remember one night when I was paying attention to smells. At least 5 dancers who danced for me had different perfumes or body sprays. I could smell everyone of them on my shorts and clothes later during the night. That was with the awful smoke smell. If we had non smoking clubs here, some people's perfumes might overpower me. I have backed away from a few women outside strip clubs because I couldn't handle the intense perfume smell even 3 feet away.
