A few months ago, I noticed a tuscl thread about the 2001live.com club website (2001 Odyssey in Tampa , FL) which featured live dressing room cam feeds, and chat with dancers. Free membership only gave limited viewing/chat, so I just broke down, and bought VIP membership ($9.95/mo, or $99/yr). In addition to aforementioned unlimited time, there was access to free porn vids, plus 30 second preview clips of actual dancer videos (over 20 different dancers, some with many videos, some with only one, with a purchase price anywhere from $1- $12).
My main interest, though, was using website resources to screen potential dancers for next club visit. As I've visitited Tampa several times over the years (and intend to keep doing so), I already recognized several of the webcam dancers, but am always interested in new talent. So, prior to recent visit, I chatted with some dancers, previewed many 30 sec. clips (and even bought a few). As for dressing room cam: I like viewing naked women as much as the next guy, but my focus was more pragmatic- seeing who's there on certain nights, who the attractive non-cammers are (there's an attendant monitoring the video that is pretty good about answering questions). Then again, seeing who spends a lot of time in dressing room, and who doesn't can sometimes indicate who's busy in lapdance area. The stage cams have a limited angle of view, but enough to get some sort of idea of dancers style.
Bottom line: When I actually visited club recently, I'd say the pre-screening footwork was positive, if not 100% accurate, or slam dunk. I'd formulated expectations based on my interactions- of the 10 lapdances sampled, 3 were better than expected, 4 were about what I expected, and 3 worse than expected. I didn't ignore the non-cammers (I'd say about 40-50% of shift dancers are webcammers). One non cammer who I thought might be fairly good was actually pretty good. One dancer who I thought might be princessy was actually pretty cool, a couple of dancers who seemed well enough in chat (some dancers don't have sound on, only type in free chat) action didn't correspond with their talk. As is often the case, one doesn't always get to meet the most desired prospects. The dancer who got nasty in the video real fast (and was very hot to boot) wasn't there anytime during my visit. The internet certainly expands ones horizons, but, like car shopping, nothing beats an actual test drive. If nothing else, it can be an addictive habit.
