First trip to Ricks
I had never been to Ricks so I thought I would check it out last Saturday night. I parked in the parking ramp about a block from the club. The parking was widely available in the area because of Covid and lack of people downtown. As I got to the door the front man stopped me from going in the door and told me he cant let me in because I am wearing a white T-shirt. Weeelp, so much for Ricks I thought. As I got back to my car I remembered I had a long sleeved shirt that I kept in my duffel bag and headed back to Ricks.
I paid a 10$ cover at the door and gave the girl at the counter a tip. I turned the corner and headed to the bar when i was quickly stopped by another bouncer who asked me if he could help me find a seat. I told him I was just going to go to the bar and find my own seat. He told me due to Covid rules he is required to seat me and a waitress will take my order. Obviously I had no option other than to comply with his ridiculous demands. In all reality it wasn't a big deal to be seated, its just at this point I didn't like how much interaction I had with the staff. I counted 9 customers scattered around the room. The waitress came by and I ordered a Corona for 10$ +tip which is normal for downtown clubs.
There were about 7-10 girls working at 10pm on a Saturday night. First girl to come by was a short haired girl with what I believe was a serpent skin tattoo on her thigh. We talked for a few minutes and then asked me if I was interested in a dance. I told her I wasn't going to stay long and just came in to check the place out and have a beer.
