My understanding is that some establishments use scanners to record who was where on which dates so the client can’t challenge any charges or cash withdrawals later. I have also heard folks use them to deny entry to people who have caused trouble in the past. For these uses, you would need to store the data for at least a short period of time (permanently if you did something dumb). I’m sure there are other scanners that only validate ID, but there’s no way of knowing which ones are being used.

As for why I don’t want to go back even if I’ve already had my ID scanned, I figure the database doesn’t hold the info forever unless you’re tagged as trouble. Data storage will eventually cost money if you keep everything forever. So I won’t go back in the hopes that eventually it’ll get wiped.

200 for 15 is pretty steep. Higher than any other club I’ve been to in MD.

Ah shit, I was hoping to visit the day shift. Sad to see so many clubs open later and later these days. I get it...not enough traffic. But that's a shame. I find the day shifts usually offer more fun.
