Great Place If They Hadn't Started Scanning IDs
I stopped by around 11 to see what Jessie was all about. She's definitely worth the 1-hour drive, though I didn't get to take her to VIP (more a bit later). Unfortunately, the establishment has started scanning IDs, which I really don't feel comfortable with. It's not that I'm worried about getting bounced (I'm a good customer who has fun, pays, and leaves). I even trust McDoogals itself. I don't trust the scanner/database vendor(s) who may or may not have their shit together. If banks and hospitals are getting hacked all the time, then I can easily see these companies' databases get breached too. (Weirdly, I didn't get my license scanned a month or two ago when I first visited so it must be a recent thing.) Anyway, I wanted to see what Jessie was all about so against my better judgment I let security do their thing. The cover was $20, not bad.
The club itself is pretty dark but roomy. There's a rectangular bar with two poles inside where the dancers do their routines. You hand over your drinks (it's BYOB) to the bartender who will pour drinks for you throughout the evening. Water bottles are $4 each. They seem to have mixers too, but I didn't ask about prices. I tipped the bartender whenever I bought water or got singles to keep on his good side. If you bring a bottle of liquor or something like that, you can take it back with you when leave for the night. The bartender is a nice enough guy, but the "emcee" or whomever is announcing the girls is a bit harsh (reminds me of a Russian guy I once knew...always grumpy and sharp in his speech).
On either side of the bar, there are some hightops and seats, a corner stage/pole set-up with more comfortable chairs, a billiard table in the back, and a lounge area for lapdances ($40 each). Four or so VIP rooms line the left wall ($210 plus tip, and a dancer told me the room fee is shared with the dancer). The VIP rooms are pitch black until your eyes gradually adjust. There's a sofa and a chair, but that's about it. If you want to pay for the room, you go to a cashier at the very back. Note that it's cash only. There are two ATMs. The one I tried charged a little over $5 for each withdrawal, which was annoying but not unbearable.
