It isn't cheap but I agree, it's the best club in Houston in terms of quality of women, atmosphere, etc. This club has always been very high end.
I was at Sapphire in Vegas back in September and the women at Men's Club Houston are on the same level and I would say the same about NYC.
There is some hustle at this club but nothing close to what I experienced in Vegas. You'll definitely get a push for VIP at some point but if you just want some dances that's fine too.

Unfortunately they closed the old lap dance area next to the patio and put in video games so there really aren't many privacy options for dances. The only place aside from true VIP is off to the right of where you walk in, where the pool tables are. In the back is a room you can use but they will only let you use it if you have a VIP membership. If you go on a quiet night you can actually have quite a bit of privacy in there.
Been going to this club for a long time but it really is hit or miss. As the author mentioned the girls here range from "shouldn't be dancing" to solid 9's.
If you go here on a regular basis, the VIP membership is worth it. I've had it for about 18 months and it's been a great investment.

Agree 100%. The smoke there drives me nuts and honestly prevents me from going there a lot more than I would. Unless I'm about to go straight home and change clothes and shower, you just can't go anywhere after going here without a cloud of smoke odor surrounding you.

The smoke @ St. James is terrible. I'd go there a lot more on the day shift if there wasn't so much smoke. My office is only about 20 minutes away but I just can't do it because I don't want to walk around with the intense smoke wrench for the rest of the day.
In today's day and age I don't know why anyone let's people smoke inside anymore.

Pretty good review as your experiences at Colorado seem similar to mine. I used to be a Men's Club customer up until last summer or so. @ Men's Club the girls just immediately hit you up for VIP and if you aren't interested they bolt (if you don't flash $300+ quick they're on to greener pastures). Colorado is much more relaxed as from what I understand the stage fees are quite modest. I've frequently had hour long conversations @ Colorado over a couple of drinks before actually suggesting dances myself.
As for the bartenders I would suggest going back into the sports bar section and getting that guy to pour your drinks. He's generally pretty attentive and while the drinks are fairly expensive, he certainly has a heavy hand.
As for the girls I agree 100%. There are some girls working here that have absolutely no business being dancers and I don't know who gets dances from them but to each their own. At the same time I've met some absolute knockouts here before as you suggested. Only once in say the last 5-6 trips there have I not come across a girl that I would consider 8.5 or higher.

Interesting. Guess the two girls were just giving me the runaround then. They told me that if they get there at 6pm its $10 but if they get there at 10 or 11pm its $100+ which is pretty standard.

I was also thinking that if the club is taking half the LD money they must have really low stage fees or tipouts but after speaking with a few of them, that doesn't appear to be the case.
My real point is that 4 dances for $160 is REALLY steep (considering that is the MINIMUM you have to spend to get a topless LD) and the only reason they are that steep is because the club is taking half. Girl still gets $20. In other words, the club is making a killing to the detriment of the girl and the customer. Did all of the club owners in the area collude to come of with the same arrangement of 4 dances for $160 if you want topless? If not, you would think that another competing club would just have $25-$30 topless dances (with no minimum) and take a lot of talent and business from Score's. JMO.

I've been here quite a bit and never been quoted above $20 for a lap dance. I've been here when they gave sped up the music and therefore get less mileage....but never heard anything about $40-$50 for one dance.

Starting to believe that I was drugged at this club. Its the only thing that makes sense. I can hold my liquor and I don't black out but on this particular night I only remember bits and pieces of what happened. Plus, timelines aren't adding up. Have spent the past 5 days trying to figure out what happened. Will be interesting to see what they give American Express for itemization considering they couldn't produce it for me when I asked and they didn't give me a receipt.

Probably a good point Array. 90% of the time that I go to Men's Club it is on Saturday nights for their poker tournament at 7pm. In terms of a legal game here in TX the competition is solid and there is often a solid turnout. So when I hang out here its normally after the tournament is over which is around 10pm. Thus I'm normally flying solo aside from a few random poker buddies and they don't typically like to spend much. Thus, I don't normally get a table with a waitress.
On the second review I gave, went with two others and we did get a table and a waitress. Problem that night is that since it was during the week the number of guys just outstripped the talent by a mile.
Just feels to me that unless I get bottle service at a table or flash a big wad I'm wasting my time here. In terms of getting a bottle if its just me and I know they aren't going to let me take it home it doesn't make sense to really get a bottle. In terms of flashing a wad, I go to a club for companionship as I have a busy professional life and its nice to have a no strings attached experience at a club. But, at least act like you're somewhat interested in me before you hit me up for dances, etc. This club is the worst at that and always has been. Girls always seem like they're in it just for the money and many of the dances I've had here are just going through the motions etc. No real effort or interest. I just started going back to clubs within the past two years after only going maybe twice in about a 10 year span but this is the only club where I've had this issue in my life. Used to date a ton of strippers back in the day but finally gave that up when I realized that the insanity/drama far outstripped the experiences I was having with them outside the club.

I've given this place a lot of chances because the ladies here are so damn hot but I'm thinking jusflor is right. If you aren't flashing money in some way (a big wad of cash or getting bottle service) you aren't going to get any attention here. Been hearing from a lot of friends that I need to check out the church of St. James. Its a long ass drive but I may have to make the plunge at some point.
