When you say it wasn't the caliber of old Lido, do you mean quality of the dancers, mileage, atmosphere? Just curious if the girls still have that GND/student vibe.

Lack of quality girls seems to be an issue all around strip clubs in NYC right now. It's like the pandemic scared them all away.

Maybe one of these GND clubs will pick up later in the summer assuming covid settles down again. Hopefully more girls will start to feel comfortable about coming back.

As a follow up, I'm still getting emails about the events although I haven't been to one in almost 3 years. What's confusing is I'm getting emails from "The Lido Room" which claims to be the original, "The Lido Lounge" which "Room" claims is a fake, and Le Rouge Lounge which I thought was supposed to be the new Lido Room. Can anyone explain all this?

Lido used to have many pretty GND types who rarely hustled you. You could hang out with a dancer, get some quality LDs without much intrusion from annoying bouncers, and leave feeling satisfied. It's sad to hear those days are gone. Maybe it will come back as we get into summer.

I've gotten numbers from dancers on numerous occasions but it's usually for business purposes where they will text you when they plan to be at a club so you can plan around it. It's still nice because if you like each other you know you won't be wasting your time showing up when she isn't there. If you want to see that girl you can just be like "hey, will u be there tonight?" and she'll be like "yep, see you there!"

Quality of the girls at Sapphire Lido on 27th has gone downhill since the days it was at Ibiza and Union Square. Raids last year must of scared off many of the hotter dancers. You used to get lots of hotties on a given night, now maybe just a few and the rest are meh. Also, rules in the lap dance area are like a regular strip club now. Used to get a real good grind, dfk sometimes, titty sucking, but now security yells at you if you grab the girl's ass or even if you put your arms around her waist. Huhh?? At this rate, there will be nothing but air dances available in the near future.

Hadn't been to one of these events since last October and tried the new location where you enter through this little pizza place located near the east village. I recognized some of the dancers from previous visits and also saw a bunch of new ones. I always liked coming to these events at the Rockefeller Center location which I now hear is closed. There were always pretty and friendly girl-next-door types to choose from with a good mix of Americans and Europeans. Atmosphere was always relaxed and lap dances were generally good. Most girls allowed extensive roaming, gave a good grind where you can suck their tits, and some will DFK depending on their mood. As with all places, some were lame and kind of a waste of time, but for the majority mileage was pretty good.
On this recent visit I first met this really cute blonde spinner from the UK. She couldn't have weighed more than 90-95 pounds but was proportioned well enough that she didn't look anorexic. She said it was her first event - friendly and good conversation although it seemed like she was either a bit drunk or on something, but can't say for sure. Anyway, went for a dance and at some point into the second song started DFKing me like no tomorrow. Maybe the most intense DFK lap dance I've ever had. We continued with this and mutual groping for a few more songs. When we finished I thought we had done 6 or 7 but since she's new I was only asked to pay for 4 dances. Not sure if she was keeping track. She looked at me and said "this is so surreal". I was like, um, yeah!
I then had dances with a couple of cuties that I knew from the Rock Center location. One was a cute American blonde named Charlie and the other a cute girl from Ireland named Heidi. Both give a great grind and allow titty sucking, although didn't DFK with them. One strange thing about some of the girls from previous visits is that they would DFK the first time I met them, but then wouldn't on my next visit. Not sure what that's about, but if I can have another experience like I did with the British spinner I won't worry about too much.

Sounds like you had some bad luck. The ratio is usually not like that and the girls tend to be more liberal than you describe.

I've been going to Lido for a few months now and it's pretty good. Nice assortment of girls and relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere. Quality of dances varies girl to girl - some give half-assed effort and others will grind you to completion.
Haven't been to Masked Nights in about a year. I stopped going because with maybe one or two exceptions, the quality of girls was just not good, at least IMO.Has it improved recently? I find Lido has many more attractive girls than Masked Nights ever had.
