Thanks for the review, Grjax. With all your recent adventures, have you ran in to any dancers with armpit air? I hit five clubs in a day this last summer and came across two dancers that must have lost their razor that day. I used to frequent clubs in the Minneapolis/St Paul area on my travels and there were a few dancers that could have used a shower before coming to work in the mid-west. Keep spreading the word!! I always clean myself well before going on a hunt as I went to be preferred over the landscape guys just stopping by before heading home. What's worse? Vag smell! I have a few of those dances I wish I could forget about. The low mileage keeps me from making the long drive to this taco shop, but mongers enjoy this place. Did you see a vibrator show? Thanks.

I spent a couple of hours at The Venue today, late morning/early afternoon. Mongers probably get tired of reading my reviews of this place and that is okay, me too, so I will piggy-back on this thread. First, I noticed a big memorial by the sign for the person that was shot and killed here a couple weeks ago. I had received a schedule from one dancer friend here, so I knew I wasn't going home with blue-balls. The problem was, there were three dancers on this day that I enjoy spending booth time with. It's a nice problem, but a pain in the ass. The reason for my visit, I got a message earlier this week from a monger advising me of a dancer that falls in my type of strip club booth fun and was hoping she might be there. I don't have any contact information for her yet, so it was on a whim. Well, she wasn't there during my time. I walked in, got my coke, and headed to the rack, I didn't see the dancer that I had made earlier contact with. In the mean time, one of my favorite dancers came up to dance and at the end she asks, "Are you okay, since I didn't ask about heading to the back." I know what she really meant, "Aren't we doing a dance as I need the $160 bucks?" I said I wasn't quite ready yet. Well, the dancer I was looking for came out from the lap dance booth area (I generally sit at the rack where I can keep an eye on the booth area entrance and when some guy beelines for the door, I take note of the dancer) and this guy headed to the door. He was definitely under 50, but might be a regular. This place needs a drive up window! Anyways, my turn next. I asked if she wanted a break and she said no. Afterwards, I walked in the same shoe steps as the last guy, with a smile on my face. I'll be back soon to see if I can run in to the monger's lady friend as I always enjoy new experiences. skibum609, if the Portland clubs were indicative of Acropolis, your comment would certainly be true. This is one of the oddest clubs in town. It's club name is Acropolis Steakhouse and I think the food draws as much attraction as the naked ladies. I was there not that long ago around the lunch hour and packed with guys eating lunch while watching the stage. I drove by late yesterday afternoon and both sides of the lot had plenty of cars. Different strokes for different folks and can't knock it if they are doing the business. I guess the flip is, if we all like the same shit, it would be a damn boring world. On a different subject, I read some pretty fun reviews of your Seattle clubs and the reasons I would be hanging out in them if I was anywhere close.

I don't get to the SW side of town often, but this place can be hit or miss on a particular visit, like any other club. From personal experiences and messages from a few other mongers, this place can have its fun depending on why a person goes to strip clubs. One of the advantages of this place, no cameras in the lap dance booths. I prefer the per song pricing as I always like to test drive a new dancer around the block once before heading on the freeway incase I don't like the way she drives. Given the opportunities, I will put up with the pricing. When I find a dancer that does it for me in the booth, I will get her contact information to help make the trip a "hit" visit because of the distance for me. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Personally, I don't like to be approached and this is why I head straight to the bar, get my coke, and head to the rack. They won't approach at the rack and try to carry-on a conversation that her and I don't really want to have. "How's your night going? How long have you worked here? What do you like to do when your not dancing? etc.....I want to be the one approaching and only if she proves she knows about the male anatomy at the rack. I'm on the hunt and don't want to be distracted by a dancer on the stage, giving a rather boring two or three song dances and taking my two bucks a song. Well, if she comes over the rack and gets in my lap, I give her another two bucks. If gives me a little OTP fun, I will add another tip given her approach. with "Tell me about your dances." I get tired of saying, "Maybe later" to lackluster dancers and we both know I am lying. I had a this straight haired, athletic, busty, blonde hit me up at the bar at Hawthorne Strip right as I walked in. Now I know this is a strictly no touching club before I went entered through the door. She hit me up right away for a dance, quoting $50/Song or 3/$100. I then asked about touching, and she said sure. The bullshit alarm went off and said maybe later and headed to the rack. A different dancer on stage finished her set. I asked her about her dances with no intention of doing one. $40 song or 3/$100. I asked about touching and she said the owner does not allow touching and pointed to the sign. The busty blonde was up next and after her set she asked if I was ready for that dance. I said not yet. She walks off and I immediately get up and head to the door so she could see me. I prefer not to be hassled, but that is just me.

One of the reasons I stop at this club before going across the street, I don't have any regular dancers here that I follow or have contact information on because I don't do lap dances here. It is nice to walk in to a club without the pressure or expectation of coming across a dancer that I have a number of experiences with. "Most" of my dancer body experiences here, they start at 7 on the scale and go up from there. Tight, spinner, bodies, mostly white blondes/brunettes with natural and some fake boobies, that always get totally naked on the second song. Many are not afraid to come over the rack and get in my lap, and generally ask about a dance at the end. Doing a number of dancers here, I've generally been disappointed and finally decided there are just better experiences at other clubs for the money spent. From what I have observed, if a guy is sitting at a table, a dancer will come join him. My last trip, there was this guy that had to be in his 80s sitting by himself and finally a gal came and sat with him. They eventually got up and slowly walked towards one of those curtain booths. They spend quite a bit of time in there. He was my hero of the day and gives me hope for my future (just having a naked girl in my lap that is 60 years younger than me and having that desire). IMO, of all the clubs in Portland, this club can have the most energy of them all. Another recent trip, like 2PM on a Wednesday, there wasn't a parking spot available or any parking along the street by the club. I had to go around the block to park. I walked in and it was just hopping. I sat through at least 8 ladies with all the other mongers at the rack, and never saw the end of the rotation. Getting bored with the perfect specimens and needing a little more, I headed across the street. Just the opposite. The Venue was dead, but the lady I knew from an earlier contact that day, was going to be there. I found her at the bar as I walked in. Not even getting a drink, we headed to the booth so she could put a smile on face before heading home. Originally, I was not a fan of Club 205, but it has grown on me over the years. When The Venue closes, I probably won't be as much of a regular at 205.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Grjax. Most reviews of this club differ from your experience, but like any club, it can have it's off day, depending on the dancers of the day. IA number of times I have walked into this place, watched the rotation, and walked right out, like I have done at every other club. Thankfully, there are plenty of reviews of this place, which I have my share, so mongers can get a general idea of this place. With that, I'm over 50 and a regular, so you are correct from your description, the club treats regulars and 50+ good from my many experiences. My first experience here many years ago got me hooked. So not a regular on that trip, but the lady in the booth knew her way around the male anatomy. I've put this club on my rotation of clubs ever since. A fun club for guys seeking a more adventurous experience and always recommend this place. Definitely a mixed bag of dancers can get contracted here. Those looking for the perfect specimen will probably be disappointed here. I have a preference for ladies with a few flaws. Thanks and hope your one bad experience wont' keep you from another try.

I had to pinch myself, to make sure I wasn't just dreaming this review. By far the most mileage that has ever been reported at this club from all the reviews. You should buy lotto ticket! Being a high mileage guy, this one review still hasn't motivated me to deal with the hassle (parking and homeless) and expense of downtown clubs. I hope there are similar reports to come to give me a reason to make the drive. I appreciate the review.

An entertaining read, Grjax. To answer 59's comment, Golden Dragon strip club is next door. Diamond has booze and is open until 2:30 AM and Dragon has no booze, so 18 and up dancers, and stays open until 4AM. After a few, no touching or topless only comments from a dancer in the booth, I always ask those two questions before committing to a dance. Some dancers like to fuck with customers. "Stereotypical Portland shit?" "Liberal land?" LOL, ohhh the truth hurts. Okay, if you're walking in to a strip club, there has to be some liberal in any monger, otherwise, you should be grabbing your bible and heading to church. Momma brought me up not to talk religion or politics, so I will stop. I can't even pay the $50 a dance rate, unless she really motivates me at the rack. "Why do girls believe their 1 song market value is $60-$80 a song?" The "entitlement" generation. I guess I must be part of that too, as I am entitled to leave my wallet in my pants pocket. I actually get more pissed at McDonalds, when after standing in line to order my fast food and waiting around to pick it up, then clearing my table, they want a tip at the register. Starting at 18%! Once again I exercise my entitlement and hit that damn "No Tip" button. Thanks for the review and making my morning.

I learned something new. I too have had the dancers not allowed to come over the rack and on the next visit, here they come over. I don't the dancers that keep all their clothes on during their stage dance. Once the point, except I leave a few more dollars in my wallet. Entitled, I guess. Although pole work is fun, I much prefer them on my lap doing some pole work. No cameras in the booths at this place. Thanks again.

Thanks for the review, Grjax. I have to admit, I enjoy Cubans, but my last lap dance was with a straight-haired, white, athletic build, blonde. She treated me good in the booth. When you want to take a lady upstairs, you pay the $60 to the doorman upfront. If a dancer has motivated me at the rack or I know her from previous experiences, I will just buy 4 dances, $120. Otherwise, if things are going in the direction you like, she has to run down the additional money first before continuing. I agree that there are no shear curtains on the lap dance booth, but there are bead curtains hanging down, plus it is pretty dark. No cameras in the booth. I have at least 7 years of experiene here and never had an issue with someone walking in. Thanks for the review of this fun club.

You brought up a couple of questionable activities. First though, in all my years of clubbing, I never found a club a perfect 10 and know enough about this club, it falls in a bout a six. This is your review though so give the club and value whatever you feel it was worth. Smoking in any Oregon business is illegal and subject to fines to the owner. Since they contract with dancers, I find it difficult why the owner would take this risk. Also, in my hundreds of strip club visits, I have never seen or sensed that a monger if jerking off at the stage. Also, I have never seen a monger try to take his money back from the stage once the dance is over. A snake tattoo from the ankle to the neck, hmm, maybe. I don't think you have done this club or yourself any justice by posting a review of this nature. Most will find this on the unbelievable side, IMHO.

I'm not sure I have a best strip club in Portland. I can have a great experience one-time at a club and then a so-so experience on the next. I was hoping to read why you thought this was the best club, but didn't get sense that this place holds any extra magic from any other club from your words. Do they only contract dancers at 10 on the dancer scale, or always get "extras" in the lap dance booth? I am hoping you can give me a reason to make the long, out-of-the-way, drive for me. Thanks for sharing your evening, Clackport. At least lately this club has been keeping consistent hours. I see they got their alcohol license back. The owner got caught with taking money from the state lotto funds, however the works, and lost his gambling and booze license, so they closed. I haven't ventured into this clubs when they chased off all the "fun" dancers and added a second camera in the lap dance booth. Good to hear they are letting the dancers set their prices as originally they were setting those and taking a house fee. I follow this club on Instagram and there are a few dancers that catch my eye, but I would bet my lap dance money, they would be just meh. No 1st place trophies would have been my guess too. Thanks.

Nice review, ArtCollege. I really enjoy this club and for the reasons you reviewed about. News of the two shot and one dead a few days ago at 5:30 in the afternoon is pretty sad. A good sign that the club was busy after that crap. I usually put my rack tip money in my front pocket and more than once, had to pick them off the lap dance couch. A sign of a great grind. I was intending on being at The Venue this last Wednesday, but made a stop at 82nd Strip and got the same experience as you, so had to head home. Thanks. Thanks for the review Dragon 47. Sounds like you had a good time for the money spent since you will revisit. I want to add, like all three Star locations, the general lap dance area ($40/song or 3/$100) is a communal room shared with fellow mongers. No hanky-panky available if that in on one's agenda. It is great to get information on the VIP and was hoping you would have gotten more "extra" fun, but doesn't sound like that is available as well. On one of my Stars visits, I had a dancer get in my lap at the rack and the DJ came over and scolded her for doing that. Something about the owner was in the club and I guess that is not allowed. I appreciate the information.

Thanks for the review, guy7246. Lingerie studios serve their purpose and just another option in the hobby. Their are escorts that advertise on TNA that use this place as their incall location. There will be an upcharge for additional options, but that happens at AMPs, extra fun at a strip club lap dance booth and streetwalkers. All of these hobby options provide a "walk-in" type business in this hobby. With making an appointment with an escort, you have to inquire about availability and wait for her to send a response as she verifies you. Finally scheduling an appointment that both of you two are available. For me with a small window, that can close with short notice and then there is a cancelation fee to be paid. With that, I am willing to pay a little extra for the convenience. There are a couple of lingerie places that offer a reasonable price schedule and doesn't sound like you came out too bad if you paid a total of $300. It beats the review last week at another place where the guy paid $700 for self-service and thought it was worth it. That one I have a hard time agreeing to and myself would just move on like it was a bad lap dance in a strip club. Thanks again. Waiyee hasn't figured out how to use the $ Spent information and do the math. Well, some guys are just not good at math I guess and there is plenty of details to pass this review. Geez! Thanks for the review, RattleSnake777. I have found myself in this club pretty consistently lately in the early afternoons. The Venue is my draw , but I do enjoy the rack action here. I have never experienced the rude bartender and they even walk around the rack to see if you want another drink. I don't come across that very often in a strip club. The older I have gotten the more generous my dancer scale has become. I have seen a few 6s here, but the 8s over shadow those. I like the two song sets with topless on the first song and totally nude by the second. I also like that many will come over the rack and get in my lap. Also, the energy in this club is higher than most clubs from my experiences. Did you have any luck at the Venue? Thanks. Minnow with his minnow dick had to add his usual type comments.
