A Surprising Visit Worth Writing A Review About

I was in the area of 82nd Strip this last Wednesday afternoon and decided to make a stop. This club is owned by the same person that owns Columbia Strip and Angels. A couple of dancers have mentioned to me that “extras” are discouraged at these establishments, for lack of a better word, which generally has me driving by these clubs. I suspect the cameras in the booths help discourage the dancers. Experienced dancers know how to cover some activity with their body when wanting to bring extra pleasure to their customers and more importantly, add some cash to her wallet.

This place is located on a busy commercial street and the very small parking lot is in back, so you have to turn on a side street to get in that lot. If there are three dancers and a bartender, the lot is already 25% full. The entrance is also in the back. On entering, a long full bar is to the left, restrooms on the right, and stage straight ahead along with two lap dance booths.. There is plenty of seating/tables for a parking lot three times the size. The club is well lit and maybe too bright for a strip club atmosphere. There is a dancer board beside the stage listing the dancers on duty. No cover, no bouncer and no ID check on my visit.

The small stage setup needs to be mentioned. Like many dive clubs in Portland, this place took an old bar and decided to make it a strip club. The ceiling was too low to put in a decent pole and with that, they dug out the ground so that the stage is way below the club floor. I have a love/hate relationship with this. I hate it when a dancer lays on the floor as she disappears from sight, except an image on the large mirrored backwall. I love that they put a wide rail for the dancers to get on and show their goods closeup. Since a dancer has to climb up to the rail, they tend to hang on there and two of the dancers even came over the rack to get in my lap. One of those dancers even gave me some personal attention while on my lap. There are three sides to the stage, but one side has a pull down blind so that mongers at the lotto machines can’t peek over at the dancers.
