Thursday night at Stars

I was in the area for a birthday party, so I decided to swing by after the party. I arrived at around 10:30 on a recent Thursday night. This club is a bit out of the way from where I live, and I get what I’m looking for from the downtown Portland clubs, so I don’t go to this club too often, probably once every few months. I don’t know if Stars is a national chain, but Stars has a couple other clubs in Oregon, there is one in Salem and one in Bend. There used to be a Beaverton location but that was shut down due to a minor working there and getting caught with prostitution. I’ve been to the Salem location a few times, about a 50 minute drive for me. I’ve never been to the Bend location, it’s a few hours drive.

Stars Bridgeport is right next to a Motel, I would guess Stars gets a lot of business customers. It’s also located right next to a 24 hour fitness. Stars has a decent sized parking lot, but everytime I go to Stars, the parking lot looks relatively full, making you think there’s a lot of people in there. But when you go in there, there’s not nearly as much people in there as you would think there would be lol. I walked in and paid a 6 buck cover. I think the cover charge varies from what time you come in/what night you’re there etc. I’ve sometimes paid 10 buck covers there, sometimes 8 bucks, sometimes 6 bucks etc. I didn’t get patted down by the bouncers, but from what I hear that only happens on the weekends now.

Stars is a decent sized club. There are 3 stages, there is a smoking patio, there are lottery machines and adequate seating around the club. Stars promotes itself as an upscale gentlemen’s club, I could definitely see it, the club was good looking and clean, there were no girls there that you questioned why they were hired. Drinks were on line with the downtown prices, like $8.50 for a rum and coke. I just wanted a redbull, they didn’t have that, they gave me some other energy drink. It was the only club I’ve been to that didn’t even have a redbull smh. They have a bathroom troll on the weekends, but not on the weekdays. There used to be a few Portland clubs with the bathroom trolls, but I haven’t seen it anymore besides at Stars. Granted nowadays I only go to a select few Portland clubs, and Portland has a lot more clubs, but I don’t think it happens at the other Portland clubs.
