“ I do remember being in Silicon Valley at the time and everyone around me was wondering why we were bombing Iraq (not Afghanistan).“ Wait, we bombed Iraq in Sept 2001 ? That’s not how I remembered it.

Were you alive on Sept 11, 2001 ? Because I remember it clearly. Every person in America wanted us to go into Afghanistan and kill those fuckers. The only question is what we should have done next.

“It's their country the US should never have interfered since the 1970s“ Except for that pesky incident on Sept 11, 2001.

We also aligned with Pakistan, which was actually supporting the Taliban. The Taliban command control was in Pakistan but weren’t allowed to go after them there. I think every general officer in the military should be canned and we should start fresh with new leadership. Something similar should be done with the CIA and NSA as well. Fucking clean house.

I think Biden had the same option that Obama had in Iraq. Leave behind a few thousand troops to prop up the government. Both chose not to. Would it have worked ? No way of knowing.

I’ll wager that every Afghan political “leader” managed to flee with millions in the bank. Meanwhile, the translators who helped us have been left behind to be slaughtered by the Taliban. Sickening.

I saw an interview with a former special forces commander. He had proposed using 3,000 embedded special forces, at a cost of $3Billion per year, to stabilize Afghanistan in 2001. The Pentagon chose to build massive bases at a cost of over $60 Billion per year.Of course it did.

At the risk of turning this political, the Cindy McCain wing of the GOP is under assault. They will have more pressing issues than human trafficking over the next few months.

Front page article in the Republic today about that undercover sting at Skin Cabaret. Nothing really. Just a lot of detail.

Going to a club while neurodivergent
Silicon Valley has one of the largest clusters of autistic children in the US. This is not an accident. If you were to remove all the Aspergers engineers from Silicon Valley its’ companies would collapse. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.womenofsiliconvalley.com/blog/neurodiversity-in-silicon-valley%3fhs_amp=true

Yes, yes, I know. The entire world is comprised of two groups of people. Fascist, bigoted, right wing extremists and their victims. No one is capable of caring for themselves. A government program, led by the enlightened elite, is necessary for survival. Anyone who has accomplished anything in life did it by stealing from the woke. It is criminal to allow people with autism to have the freedom to make life choices. We should institutionalize every one of them. After they’ve been vaccinated, of course !

There were a couple clubs where dancers wore men’s dress shirts, open in front. Lots of privacy for roaming hands.

When selecting a VIP dancer, I always go with someone with an easy access costume. If there are lots of buttons and straps, it’s a clear signal where the line will be drawn.

Interesting that no one has mentioned white outfits. In a dark club, that makes the dancer stand out. It also accents all the dancers features so, the better the body, the more effective it is.

It’s specific to the dancer, both their physical appearance and their personality. Some dancers will change outfits mid shift if they aren’t getting the reaction they want. That’s not a bad strategy.

The truth hurts, but if you accept it, it will set you free
It is not great wealth in a few individuals that proves a country is prosperous,
The quality of life in 2021 for the typical American is infinitely better than the wealthiest 1% in 1921. Quantity and quality of food. Universal education. Air travel. Antibiotics. Entertainment. International air travel. Refrigeration. Twice the average lifespan. Infant mortality vastly improved. Modern dental care. On and on. Back then, we had anarchists who told us the system was screwed. The little guy would never get ahead. Sound familiar ?

It’s an old Psych 101 experiment. Which of the following would you choose: 1. Everyone in the class gets $100 but the tallest person ( not you ) gets $500 2. Everyone in the class gets $25. No one gets more.

Since the 1980s, the percent of world population living in extreme poverty has more than dropped in half. And, the percent continues to drop. Thank you free market capitalism !

Vaccines nearly useless in preventing transmission of Covid?
Here’s my summary of where we stand. Nobody knows nothing when it comes to CoVid. The government keeps telling us what to do but does a piss poor job of explaining why we should. Don’t mask. Mask. Triple mask. Vaccines are the answer. Although, you can still get and spread the disease after vaccination. But, you should still get the shot. And, vaccinated people really need masks. Here comes Delta. Now, it’s Lamda. Maybe we should lock down again. The “experts” have surrendered whatever credibility they once had. It’s a shit show.

I already responded. The Science article doesn’t say what you claimed. It correctly states that there is no empirical data or studies that show masks work. Pretty amazing after 18 months of forcing us to use them. The article then goes on to speculate that masks might do some good in certain situations. That’s as far as the article goes. No proof they work. Just speculation based on what they think should happen given the size of particles, etc. For that, the government is demanding our children wear masks and miss out on a second year of normal education.
