One of the most popular SCs in Montreal, right in downtown. A "gritty" club, not splashy, but sometimes you just feel like grit! $10 dances, very good contact, and reasonable prices on drinks. But the quality of the dancers is hugely uneven. I've been on shifts where all of them are old, heavy, and fugly - can't imagine any guy would want a lap with them. And then other times when slim, young, gorgeous girls are dancing. I even pulled one of my ATF for takeout here - one of the most gorgeous girls I've ever been with. So, come with low expectations and more often than not you will be pleasantly surprised. R the Man.

Went there around 4 pm on a Tuesday afternoon, early in April. It's dark in there, hard to see - but probably a good thing, given that many of the dancers are showing the ravages of old age. The decor is too, for that matter: a few old paintings, rickety chairs, gum under the tables. There were about 15 dancers on the floor, a real mixed bag. Some of them are on the heavy side, some of them are not especially attractive, even if you squint your eyes really hard. On the other hand, there are some hidden gems. In particular, I liked Becky (slender, flat-chested, but with an incredible athletic body covered with tattoos) and Hailey (slender, very athletic body, super sweet girl). Didn't get high mileage, but wasn't really looking for it either. Waitress was really nice and efficient, though. Brought the beers quickly and with a smile, and I took advantage of the 2-for-1 special, which runs from 5 to 6 pm. Beer was generally cheap for a strip club, but especially cheap with the happy hour specials they offer. So in short: not a glamorous club by any stretch of the imagination, more of a neighbourhood institution, but good value for the money, and an easy-going vibe. Hit-and-miss (honestly, mostly miss) when it comes to the quality of the dancers.

It was my first time visiting this strip club. I brought a friend we enterd we were approached by this old bouncer gave him 5$ to enter ( per person) soon as u walk in big stage infront and they are tables on two opposite side, wasnt as packed so we got in sat in a corner then we get approached by the waitress orderd drinks and she wanted a tip. My friend was telling me in different strip clubs usually the girls come up to you, but in this club they only go after older looking men, sincd i was a young i waited over 2 hrs until i got the balls to go up to a girl, but boy was it worth it, she was the perfect girl i had ever since, she was super friendly asked for my name made small talk, i was very nervous being my first time. She played with herself a little was allowed to kiss anywhere touch anything but the vagina was 10 a dance did 5 dances she then got up with a smile gave me a kiss on both cheeks and went away.. was well worth the experience

Ok, it was a bit early, 9 pm. And it was Tuesday. But I sat for an hour. Only two dancers went on stage. None made rounds through the 25 or so guys who were eagerly waiting. After they would dance one song on stage, they would hang out at the bar. I did not see one tip being given. How do these girls make any money??? Several people commented about the neighborhood. I've seen much worse in certain sections of NYC and DC. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. Guys were here with money in hand. Dancers interested in making money needed.

I dropped by cafe cleopatra one afternoon and although ive been here before snd love this place i was a bit disappointed. For all its glory this place is hit or miss. Once my eyes got acclimatized to the dark i was able to see that the available dancers were on the lower end of what cleopatra has to offer. Im bad at saying no but i just couldnt say yes to the first one who came over to chat. Another one came by that was an improvrment over the first one but nothing great. I had 2 dances with her that were pretty good. For $10/dance, its worth it. After that i sat in an area of the club where i wouldnt get bothered so much. I waived over a young cutie with a tight body and we chatted a bit. She was much more to my likining. Her tits were not big but she was sexy. I got sone dances with her and at one point she offered $100 for 1/2 hour. At first i thought that was a good deal but then i realized that it was equivalent to $10/ song or worse. Anyways she was nice but i expected more, hardly any stick shifting. I returned later that day around 11pm. More dancers and more clients is preferable if youre like me and dont like getting asked to go for a dance all the time. I started chatting up this voluptuous girl with black hair and very white skin. We went for dances. Great dances with lots of tit sucking allowed and after 4 she offered a happy ending for 80. I couldnt say no but the cramped booths did not offer the best setting for that.

I normally love this club, but Saturday night was a big disappointment. Cleo's is kind of a dive bar, but in a very comfortable way, that normally has very high-mileage dances for small money. I usually go during the day, but on Saturday I arrived around 11:00pm. The place was crowded, with probably 20 girls on shift. As usual, these are not centerfold types. Most girls are a bit overweight or a bit older, but usually very friendly. It took forever to get a drink once I sat down. In fact, one of the dancers actually called a waitress over for me eventually. Lots of girls just standing around - hardly any making the rounds of the room in order to drum up business. Finally an older lady came by and seemed friendly enough, so I bought a dance. The first bad sign was that she had a bandana that she put on my lap and had me Purel my hands. It was a total air dance, the first I've ever encountered there. During the day, I usually got very high mileage dances, but almost every dancer there on Saturday was very low mileage. Only one gave some slight action. I'm noy sure what was going on, as I was clean, well dressed, and had plenty of money to spend. The crowd started to thin out around 1:30am, so I headed out too, ending the most frustrating visit I've ever had there. I'll try the daytime girls again soon to see if it's just a night shift thing.

I went by this place in the evening, in late August 2013 I read on other sites that there were many nasty chicks, and the reviews were generally not great. I however went in with an open mind, and found the place busy with a couple of gems. The place has gone uphill in the year since I had come. The girls were far more attractive and actively talking to patrons. The dancing quality was also good-- $10 for a nude lap dance. The girls are young and, more often than not, hot. They always can manage to convince me to go for a dance, and I have never regretted it. (Though they will try to extract lots of money from you without any real effort on their part. Pretty young girls who are very interested in getting a private dance with you as that is how they make most of there money.) Don't let other reviews dissuade you-- Cafe Cleopatra is a classic and a Montreal institution. Necessary visit for all Canadian strip club connoisseurs and American visitors!

Got there around 8:00 on a Friday eve of, first stop of the night. Typical Montreal club, few bouncers at the door, one guy sits you down and you feel obligated to tip. Noticed the energy of the club was pretty low, even for earlier in the evening. Pretty empty when I got there and not much better when I left at 10. Stage is a square in the middle of the club, seating on all sides. The girls attacked pretty quickly - hadn't even ordered a drink yet. I'm not picky, but could not find one that I wanted a dance with. Would say they were largely in the 5 range. After declining ~10 dances decided to take the plunge with a tall thin Canadian girl, not the prettiest in the world, but decent. Mileage was quite good, but she had an odor and I knew that I couldn't last multiple dances. After one dance I said thank you but that's enough. This upset her so I tipped her $10 ($20 total) and left the club. Was a short experience, but it was obvious that the dancer quality here is well behind many/all of the other Montreal clubs. Given how good the other options are, I would take my $ elsewhere.

Café Cleopatra is a mixed bag when it comes to clubs in Montreal. On the one hand it has some of the best and cheapest dances you will find anywhere and then on the other it is quite run down with dancer quality that is at times both subpar and scarce. The setup is one main stage with some tables/chairs around them with some elevated spaces around that. There are private booths along two of the walls and a bar in the back corner. I've been here a couple times mostly on weekday evenings and have had to tip the bouncer $3 to get in and found a handful of dancers typically. They do rotate through the evening so I'd say maybe 10-15 on any given night will actually be there but usually only 5 or so are in the main area. As I mentioned before the quality of dancers on average is not very good but a few may be in the 7-8 range. What is lost in overall quality of appearance is made up for a bit in the dance prices. $10 for a dance is a bargain anywhere and here it will typically allow your hands to respectfully roam where they please. One of the biggest difficulties I've found is actually getting some of the attention of the dancers as there is a very high customer to dancer ratio on nights I've been there. All of this means I usually leave with my wallet in far better shape than any other club but also fewer dances. All in all though worth a visit.

This is an interesting club. It is in a not super nice part of town and looks fairly unassuming from the outside. When you walk in you tip the doorman/bouncer and take a seat. The layout is a largeish stage to the right, seats around the stage, and two lap dance areas along the left and back walls. This club, unlike most others in Montreal, seems to have a decent mix of locals and tourists. The crowd tends to be much more laid back and a bit rough around the edges than the other clubs. Not unsafe at all, just no pretense. The girls are a wide mix of shapes and sizes. Mostly white as the locale dictates. Overall they tend to be friendly, chatty, and not pushy at all. When going for a dance, note the left wall ones are darker and a little more private than the others. The dances are $10 i think but def can vary girl to girl. They are topless and very nice. You can touch the top for sure - not sure about down below as its not my thing. The grind is steady and heavy - definitely a fun time. Overall a fun lap experience and one to repeat. I tend to find the fancy clubs in most cities to be unfun. If you look for that one regular strip club in cities, this is that one.

My wife and I went here on a recent vacation and it was her first visit to a club. I figured Montreal was the best place for her first experience. This being our first time in the city, I wanted to try one of the more classic Montreal clubs so we went to Cleopatra. Overall it was a good experience, but it probably depends on your standards. The positives: The club is passable in terms of cleanliness and comfort. I've been in nicer places, but it didn't leave my wife running for the exit. It's also a Canadian club so I feel like we got what I expected in terms of variety of dancers, all nude, and reasonable prices. Getting couples dances for $20 is a steal when I know places in the states regularly charge twice that. We got a great dancer that we both liked, tons of extra mileage in the semi-private dances. Since we were pretty secluded and the girl did a great job of making my wife comfortable, the two of them really got to explore each other. Not sure how much further we could have gone as the wife and I were satisfied and ready to head back to our hotel for our own fun, but it felt like we could have asked for even more. The dancer didn't try to offer much more though, so who knows. Definitely worth the experience for a dancer who knew what she was doing and how to make it fun for the wife. I think that's what you get at a place like this. The negatives: Montreal seems to heat up starting on Thursday nights, but not this place. Maybe 10 dancers, tops. And only 3 were even on our radar, but we lucked out and got the one that was at the top of both of our lists. So on a different night, who knows what we would have wound up with. A little disappointed with the overall quality of the dancers and selection. We just happened to be lucky to get that one. Also, between the cover (even for my wife), the bouncer, tipping to find a seat, etc., it feels like they nickel and dime you at the start. But drinks are reasonable and dances are cheap, so if you plan on staying for more than an hour, it eventually balances out and it's very reasonably priced. We didn't go to any other clubs, so I have no idea how to rank it compared to the rest of Montreal. Perhaps the best way to put it is that Cleopatra would likely be my first choice if it was in my city, but given the hype of Montreal clubs, I sense it's probably pretty average there. On our next visit, we'll try other places before going back there.

We arrived around 6 or 7 and tipped the bouncer $20 to get in. We immediately felt ripped off as there were not many girls available or dancing. The few that were around were not easy on the eyes. One particularly heavy girl took the stage and a friend of mine said "if she takes her clothes off I'm out of here!" My friends bought me a lapdance. The booths are very small and you can see through the curtain so there really isn't much privacy. The girl had an unattractive face but an okay body. Touching was allowed which made up a bit for her looks. When we asked where are all the girls, they told us they are between shifts. I hope so because what I saw there was a senior citizen orgy pretty much! Make sure to go later at night if anything.
