Dancers who constantly ask for dances when customers politely say no

basedtexasnationalist

2 wks ago · 1 min read

Have you ever been in a situation where a dancer incessantly pushes you to get a dance even though you turned it down 1-2 times?

Also have you had dancers ask you "are you waiting for someone?" Like fr, does it matter

I know what I want in the club, but what you need to do is improve your approach with your customers

Some dancers need to really imrpove their approach when approaching/asking customers for dances

and it's usually the ugly and/or LM chicks too

Incessantly asking? No, but I have been asked 3-4 times before

If I have ruled them out on physical looks, I will say no thanks shortly after introduction. If I think there's attraction, I will chat for a bit and then make a judgment call.

Doesn't really bother me if they walk by and ask if I want to dance after saying no, they are doing their job.

How do you think they should change their approach?

@Alternative_carry657 Yeah, I have been asked 4 to 5 times tops but I get super annoyed when that happens (sometimes growing up with a behavioral disorder as a kid makes me get easily annoyed but I have to work on that).

Sometimes you don't have a chance to chat with them for a bit.

It's dance or they leave

This is the one annd only one good thing abut Prov (non-Desire at least) clubs compared to Soflo. Girls have to talk to everyone because not many customers and not many dancers.

@sfrsox I’m not on the East Coast, so I cannot comment about what is going on there. But I know that the “are you waiting on someone” and the “can I please get a dance” after 4-5 tries shows some people have bad customer service skills.

Yes, many times. All she's doing is providing a way for you to tell her to leave without her having to feel being rejected. I like it.

@WiseToo Good to know. I usually come in with an idea of who i want to get dances from usually.

The customers get annoyed by dancers who ask for lap dances multiple times while the girls get annoyed by customers who never buy lap dances. I think that sort of thing is more often done by inexperienced dancers. When I have talked to the dancers over the years, they told me they did not get a lot of detailed guidance from management on what to do when they were new.

@docsavage I think that is the problem of many private companies and public institutions, they just throw people out in the water and tell people to simply "figure it out on their own". Which leads to some staff struggling and not getting it properly.

When I was going all the time, that would happen at one specific club I was a regular at. The girls who would do that were almost invariably new girls there and also generally the bottom of the barrel.

Seems like a version of this topic gets posted every couple of weeks.
I agree, it shows some poor saleswomanship/people skills, but is it really that much of a problem if there are dancers available that you do want to interact with? Maybe the underlying problem is you're a stationary target because the club is dead so you can't get any dances with women you like. If so, maybe try a different club. Or, if you're content to sit and drink and watch the stage without getting dances, tell her that and she'll realize she's wasting her time. Doesn't stop you from getting dances from somebody you like if the opportunity arises.

@Manuellabore Yeah, I think this was brought up about three months ago.

I sometimes say things like "your cute but my preference is blondes/brunettes/redhead" i.e. whatever they are not.

In a world with huge dancers this happens often. I always smile and say in a monotone voice "I'm sorry but I never get dances from women who can beat the shit out of me." Works like a charm.

Happens all the time. It’s just part of the game so it doesn’t do any good to get annoyed.

This topic comes at least as often as the guys who get annoyed by girls who sit with their phones and don’t circulate around asking for dances.

Decades ago I was dating—and living with—a stripper.

One night I went to her club and was hanging out at the bar waiting for her to finish up. While I was waiting, another dancer walked over and asked if I wanted a dance.

I smiled and said, "No thanks."

Apparently that was her opening sales pitch, because she immediately launched into an aggressive hard sell explaining why I absolutely did want a dance.

Right in the middle of her persuasion campaign, I spotted my girlfriend standing behind her. So I made what I thought was the safest possible decision: I locked eyes with my girlfriend.

Huge mistake.

The dancer suddenly stopped mid-sentence and started yelling at me.

"You know it's RUDE to look at another woman while I'm talking to you?!"

Then she stormed off in a huff.

I never even got the chance to explain that the "other woman" she was mad about... was my girlfriend.

Nah, I don't get upset. It's part of the game. Most get the hint in short order. All the time I've been doing this, I think I've only had to gank one for not taking the hint.

COCK-BLOCK / CLAM-JAM

When ever a dancer that you don't want to sit with you does so and she won't leave, she's cock-blocking / clam-jamming you. It prohibits you from getting the dancer that you do want to come over. It can be a PL's worst nightmare. Definitely in the top 5 annoyances that most mongers deal with during club visits.

If it has a definition listed in the GL, it has been going on for a very long time.
