What would it take for you to end this hobby?

Weekly. I'm old, so, in the near term, I could get a debilitating illness. I have enough savings, conservatively invested, to stay a dirty old man, at least to some degree. Baring an Argentina-level currency crisis (more possible than we like to think).
Hopefully the country will make progress on the affordability crisis for lower income people. And the trend of women having more equal rights/status hopefully will continue and accelerate. So that combination may threaten the viability of the industry. Unless there's also a downturn in the number of customers who tend to see the club as a zoo with the strippers being the animals.
Maybe I'll meet a woman who thinks I'm hot, and who I think is hot, and isn't looking for big commitments. But, if that happens, she'll probably use a flying pig for transpo instead of a car.

If I died, I would probably stop.

When I am really old and in poor health I will stop going. I do not want to be the feeble 85 year old guy slowly shuffling up to the stage to tip a stripper.

Until then, instead of stopping, I have cut back on trips. This is due to declining interest, declining quality of local strip clubs and rising prices. I now go once every three weeks instead of every week. I spend about a hundred dollars a trip and have plenty of money left for everything else.

I’ve always admired the 85 year old guys shuffling up th the stage. Old dude’s still got it! For me, I keep thinking that I’ll someday outgrow this silly hobby and no longer be interested in looking at naked women, but that hasn’t happened yet. When a club closes down, I stop going.

I have mostly quit already, largely because it takes two hours plus just to drive to a decent club. It costs money just to get to a club. I do think some of it is not relating real well with current strippers and some of it is being forced to go to low quality clubs when I do go. There isn't any mystery any more to going to a strip club.

I still look at strip clubs like bars and since I hate Amazon with a passion, I watch Thursday night football in a bar. I will be watching the Pats beat the shit out of the Jets at the Boardroom and after a few will get lap dances, no matter how often I decide I won't. It's 1:30 here. I am in hour 10 of work today, so I am guessing I am still young enough to do this.

If all (good) clubs near me start ID scanning, I will stop. There are 3 clubs that I actually like a lot, that I no longer go to because of the ID scans.

I do occasionally break my own rules, but it is very occasionally. I don't want 2x a month club history showing up on a pre-employment screen in a few years. Once I'm retired, I may relax this, but I may not. By then, President Vance and Speaker Johnson may have fully banned strip clubs anyway in a bipartisan effort led by Maura Healey.

Probably once I have kids. But club going, like cannabis, will most likely return once they grow up.

Who knows. I know quite a few ex-PLs who became dads and it changed their outlook on the club life.

I had gone seven, eight months without the strip clubs -- combination of budget, probably outgrowing it, and the increasing impersonality/lack of socializing with cute, interesting women. But last summer, I was on vacation and it just didn't feel right, not hitting up a club or two. Well, it turned out to be more like seven or eight during that last night and the next day driving back to the Twin Cities.

But once my birthday's come and gone, I think I'm going back to cold turkey, largely to save money then enjoy another good road trip.

Bankruptcy or death.

My health. I'm coming up on 84 and have some limitations but going to the strip club gets me out of the house.

We've pretty much reached it. Too few hot strippers. Too few honest strippers. Too few interesting strippers. I never go out locally any more, and travelling is a crap shoot.

I periodically find a new dancer who pushes all my sexual buttons. I’m in a little drought now, but as long as they’re out there and I can find them, I’ll still be into it.

I've lost interest due to the paucity of hot strippers. The strippers definitely could use some "Brazil Butt Lift" videos to get back in shape. I still go, but it's vary rare and it's more out of habit. I really don't miss going that much and probably will just forget to go which will be the end.
