I have seen many gentlemen’s clubs come and go over the years. Since I tend to return to the same cities and towns over an extended period of time, I have observed what becomes of gentlemen’s clubs when they close down. Some buildings go up for sale and are put to other uses, while other buildings are just bulldozed or abandoned to nature. Here are some of the changes in vocation I have observed for former strip clubs I have visited.
- Big Rig Doll House in Kingman, Arizona. It is now a bar called Sports Bar 44. The bartender/manager had fake boobs when I stopped in for a drink. Maybe she was a former dancer?
- Little Darlings in Lemon Grove, California. It is now a cannabis dispensary called Buzz Cannabis.
- Classy Chassy in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is now a training facility for truck drivers called Jodha Truck Driving School. It appears to cater to Indian truck drivers.
- The G Spot in Sabula, Iowa. It is now a warehouse for boats.
- Double D’s Cabaret in Emporia, Kansas. It is now a country bar called The Dark Horse Saloon.
- Deja Vu Showgirls in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is now a Bourbon Street bar called The Frat House.
- Toy Chest in Detroit, Michigan. It is now a dental clinic called Silver Dental.
- Fred’s Lounge in Missoula, Montana. It is now a cannabis dispensary called Dancing Goat Gardens. It is in the same complex as a Sinclair gas station.
- Sagebrush Sam’s in Rocker, Montana. It is now a lingerie and sex toy store called The Exotic Peach.
- Silver Dollar in Aberdeen, South Dakota. It is now a hot yoga and fitness studio called Sweat Zone.
- Deja Vu in Spokane, Washington. It is now a non-profit called Helping Captives. It is an organization that provides housing, care, and therapy to women who are survivors of sex trafficking.
- Ralph’s Place in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The original structure is gone, and it is now a Shell gas station.
What changes in occupancy have you seen for closed down gentlemen’s clubs?
