How do you like the front page feed?

Do you like everything all lumped together? Or would you rather have reviews, discussions and articles separated from each other?

What are other things you would like to see?

Keep it simple. I don't want to see reviews of places I'll never visit, or rejected reviews (there's a reason they were rejected). The discussion board is a discussion board, it's a decidedly 1995 technology that doesn't need bells and whistles. Just make it easy to read on any format (desktop/laptop/tablet/phone). For some reason I tapped on a post on my phone and it whited it out, making it a pain to read.

And please, settle on a format and let us get used to it for a few months. I noticed that since this last change a few days ago, discussion board activity has fallen off a cliff.

There's a reason Google doesn't fuck around with their front page, or even Facebook and LinkedIn don't change things often; they work, and changes mean a new way of using them.

I like it - keep it - let folks click into reviews or whatever they want to see, it’s the same number of steps almost to click the drop down and the click whatever section you want to go to. Or have a “feed” link on the front page that takes you to this feed page

Since you're asking... ;)

I liked the separate sections - especially the pending reviews. It helps keep my head straight as I'm reading. When they're lumped together, it gets jumbled together in my mind.

Separate for me. Likewise don’t want to see rejected reviews. Thanks for asking all of us!

I like the page of reviews all in one when you click on a review of a joint. There's too much clicking back and forth otherwise, it's real good.

Some things I would want.

-Urban and Hispanic clubs are grouped differently and appear differently on the map. Those clear different types of clubs in my mind.

-Template if one chooses to be able to write their reviews and they would just fill each box with information. You got some guys that I don't know how they got through elementary school with these giant walls of text.

-I would like to see a view count, on reviews and discussions that the OP would be able to see much like Reddit, I think it would be interesting data to know.

The feed itself doesn't matter to me, in the sense that I can go to the left and pick what I want (I always use a desktop for this site). I kind of miss the information given in the discussion posts with: poster and last postee.

And to be clear, I haven't put up any money here, so my opinion is null....but I'm seriously considering it, if I can muster the energy to make it "anonymous" with prepaid card/etc.

I prefer separate sections. I check out pending reviews, forums and articles separately. Not intermixed.

And I used to like the last comment/# of comments on threads

Also like last comment and number of comments.

Separate reviews from discussion, its confusing.

On strip club list by city/region, it doesn't clearly say closed for the closed clubs. Bring that back.

Under listings show that the club is reported as closed up front. Right now you have to click on the name to find out that is is no longer open.

Keep it separate. I also miss the “New” button which made it easier to keep up to date without wading through a bunch of other stuff.

I like the whole thing available in the feed as well as separate too. Sometimes I'm in one mood and other times I'm in another mood.

I really DISLIKE seeing club discussions on the front page. 90% are guys asking if this dancer puts out. Move the club discussions to the club listing, please.

I don’t care what you decide to do with the formatting, I just wish you decide on one and leave it alone, it gets annoying with all the different formatting styles, it’s not welcoming for new members especially when they can’t simply get used to one style, before you change it up all over again.

I don't have an opinion on the front page content being grouped vs not. But I have some other comments if you want them. For whatever it's worth, I don't look at that screen much and just move to the section I want to see. Usually my feed, discussions, or pending reviews.

I find the reduced contrast between the gray background and white lettering to be less than ideal. It's readable, but much I'd prefer a much darker shade of gray if that's the way you're gonna do it.

I'm not a fan of the inconsistent element placement within objects. For example, if it's a published review then the club is at the top and the poster is at the bottom. if its a pending review the poster is omitted, if it's a comment the poster is first. I can figure out what I'm looking at, but it's not very obvious. Combined with the alternating black/gray backgrounds that don't correspond to individual items, it just makes it worse.

I really miss seeing who and when the last comment was from in the discussion, feed, and even home listings.

I'm not sure how I feel about rejected reviews showing. Seems to kinda defeat the some of the purpose of adjudication if you're going to post them anyway. Though, it does make it clear that the only stuff the gets rejected is really the absolute trash. The borderline reviews seems like the reviewer just reposts 98% identical content a 2nd time and it gets approved.

Upvote for having a "New" button back ... tbh when I come in, most often I would be looking for a) new in my area or new among a list of favorites, b) unpublished things to review, and c) new among all listings

I was hoping the constant layout changes were at least to deter all the Vietnamese spammers that post here. But nope. I just blocked 2 more of them today.

Don't really think TUSCL needs as many visual changes as it does AI detection, spam protection, and maybe view counts. Having pending reviews on top ruins that feeling of your freshly published review getting featured. Including rejected reviews just gums everything up even further.

Add to the fact that right now you can't even access your old reviews/comments beyond a couple months without going in and manually searching for them... I gotta say this might be the most convoluted and least user friendly version of TUSCL to date, unfortunately.

I'm fine with it as is. I like to begin with only Reviews, but the button is right there. Then I go to Discussions if I have the time.

Prefer separate listings. Also prefer club discussions be organized under a club clickable links vs newest clogging up the discussion board.

Lastly, please don't place "rejected reviews" with regular club review feed. Keep rejected reviews under another section, and auto purge after 30 days.

The new site feels cluttered. How about when discussions were more plain and you could see who posted the last comment and when.

I'm weighing in late, but I like the way the new home feed looks and feels.

I like that unpublished reviews and articles show up there. Anecdotally, it seemed like an article I wrote recently was adjudicated much more quickly because of that home feed.

I do agree with others who have expressed interest in seeing the last comment.

Avatar for Jascoi

in reading all these comments I guess it's better just to totally delete the rejected review from the feed. of course still make it available to the individual writer so that he can redo it.

and I do miss the last comment posted on thereviews and articles and discussions as it was before so you can see if somebody's added another comment without having to click on the entire subject.

as far as colors go I would prefer black print on white background.

cool having photos and graphics posted on comments...
