I’ve been mulling this over lately. I’m a ‘90s baby, so maybe I arrived to the party a bit late, but I sure do miss the valuable intel that used to float around on Bonedin. Sure, there’s other sites such as USA sex guide, and you’ll always get your fair share of YMMV encounters, but getting insider scoop straight from seasoned vets can literally save in the tens of thousands in the long run...and save a ton of time for greenhorns like myself. I understand boned in was a nightmare to manage once politics were involved...not to mention the leeches, simps and shills. I’m not even sure if I counted as a “leech” myself, seeing as I was only a member for about a year with only seven reviews under my belt. I also understand the frustrations of seasoned vets who’d rather not divulge trade secrets, allowing rookie mongers to find thier own way. Just saying…I missed out on a whole lot of fun.
I feel the same way. Everytime I see a Follies thread, I kick myself for not mongering just a few years earlier.
It feels like those of us who are just under 35 really missed out on golden opportunities. I partially blame the fact that society has made it socially difficult for mongers to congregate. Their is still this general ideology that people should achieve X by age Y, never taking into consideration that social norms have rapidly changed over the past 3 decades and they are always ahead of the legal system.
We still have many good opportunities, but those are slowly fading away if we don't take advantage of them. That's why I'm trying to get to Tijuana as soon as I can set aside time.
Re: "seasoned vets who’d rather not divulge trade secrets,"
You're on the right track Owl.
It's not so much that season vets don't want to share information. What's frustrating is when somebody who's never reviewed anything, comes on the board asks a ton of questions, like we're all supposed to just get down and provide that. Contribute like you do, and we're all happy to help each other out in the process.
I love stripper input because it allows us to understand the dancers and the business in a way we don't normally get to see. For example, prices increased at my local clubs last year. The response was that most of the dancers are pissed. The increase entirely goes to the club. The small bump in $150 VIP means little when you are selling roughly 30% less dances.
That's just a more common example. We also don't know how many creeps they deal with or how bad management actually screws us over.

Another feature I miss about bonedin was the dancer's interaction with PLs on the site, and the dancer reviews.
