Pissed all the clubs near me are closing at 6pm. I wonder if the dancers couldn't get a babysitter for the night or its dead in the past so they decide to close.
Still debating if I should drive an hour to providence or not.
I went at 1PM today. It was pretty dead but I had a prior agreement to meet my CF there. No dances but got my pipes cleaned in VIP and was home by 3PM.
The only decent places in Colorado are 65 miles away, and I'm not doing the Interstate on New Year's Eve. I'll be home with a good wine, cheese and a filet. I'll be out on 2-Jan though.
I'm with @drewcareypnw. New Year's Eve sucks my left nut while fondling my right. Amateur drinkers, crowds of obnoxious people, and roads that become a roller derby. I'm going to read a book, pet my cat, and sleep early tonight in protest.
Clubs in Huntsville are open. I was going to travel to Atlanta today but spent most of money at Boomers on Saturday (story for another time). And I don't regret the two dancers I spent it on. I basically gained two new sugar babies.
I'm going to Pony Too tonight. But I will admit the strip clubs have been dead right before and after Christmas, as I predicted. Alot of clubs have NYE nights. Huntsville has 3 tonight.
Vivide in ATL has an all nighter NYE for those interested.
Locally, Millstream was closed for NYE and today. Penthouse had a $120 open bar with premium liquor and breakfast at 2a. No IG pics yet to see how well attended it was but I’ll find out in the next couple days.
When I was in college in the late 60's my New Years Eve date cancelled at the late minute. I went to the Gaiety Burlesque in Cincinnati. It was a fun party with the strippers. I got on stage and won the twist dance contest. They had a live band every day, so they played Auld Lang Syne and other New Years songs. Huggs and kisses at midnight.
When I was in my late teens, New Years Eve was a big deal. And going to Times Square was the place to be. I recall seeing Gene Krupa playing at some bar on Times Square; customers were packed in like sardines. Of course paying at least 5 times for a watered down draft, assuming you could even make it to the bar, was par for the course. Hey, it's New Years Eve and I'm having a good time, right?
I quickly out grew New Years Eve; once was enough. I stay at home and I'm sleeping well before the ball drops in Times Square.
I wanted to, I was in Vegas last night (left before ball drop though), $50 cover in a couple places I called, daytime. Yeah na I'm good. Fuck all that bullshit.
