Trump Administration's Affect on Stip Clubs?

It is certainly time to start a discussion regarding whether Trump's anti-immigrant policies can, very unfortunately for us, have a negative effect on our beloved hobby. It is no debate that the hottest and most avid dancers nnd "pros" are not American, but rather hail from countries all over the world. God bless women from Latin/South America, Russia/Ukraine/Eastern Europe and, more recently, other countries sending over their talent. I can't imagine strip club experiences without a constant turnover of immigrant women!
So, I don't have a clear sense of what kind of visas etc these girls come on and whether the new policies will diminish their beautiful supply to our clubs. What do y'all think? Will this pose a problem for us? I'm a little worried to be honest.
(And Let's all please just stay honest and not to try to push any political agenda - let's just stick to this particular topic for this discussion).

Lots of them are on tourist visa. Without a work visa, it is illegal to work. They come to the US because they make so much more money than in their home countries, for much less work. So I guess it's likely if this gets cracked down, there will be less foreign dancers, which may drive up the price due to less competition. With that said, most of them work in sanctuary cities. We will see how the deportation plays out.

This topic has been beaten to death, beaten back to life, and beaten back to death in the run-up to the election.

I thought Cubans were considered refugees from communism, anyways. Not sure how many strippers jumped the Rio Grande.

All I ever hear on this site is how strip clubbing was so much better 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years ago - the Golden ages of strip clubbing.

Well, the massive influx of illegal immigrants that we've seen over the last four years hadn't happened yet, so those golden strip club years couldn't have been solely because of mass illegal immigration. Obviously, there were other factors that made the good old days the good old days.

Don't fret over the deportations. Next to nothing will change, for better or worse.

Myoape, this rick’s advice is to ask yourself where your posts belong (front room vs political room) and post accordingly. And if your post includes the “Trump” and you’re not posting about bridge (or a similar game) your answer to yourself should be “political forum.”

Hell, even if you’re tellin’ us about a bridge game you should probably post in the political forum. ROAR!!!

The real impact will come from the influence of the christian right. Theyll influence legislation at municipal levels. Phasing out licenses for strip clubs etc

This thread is based on a false premise. Trump is not anti-immigrant. His wife is an immigrant. He is pro-LEGAL immigration and common sense immigration reform.

This should greatly benefit strip clubs.

Have no fear, nothing at the federal level will change for strip clubs. These are local issues. If you are getting this BS from the MSM regarding MAGA, just reverse it.

If strippers are ID'ed as criminals, then yeah, out you go.

What did he do about strip clubs in his first 4 years?

Cry me a river.

The immigrants who have been among my top favs have all been Cuban. Cubans have had advantageous treatment in immigration matters since the 1960s, with bipartisan support. I haven't seen much reason to think that will change. That will probably (except for criminals) protect the Cuban dancers from deportation. Unless the strippers are singled out, as red meat for Trump's Evangelicals. But, even under Biden in the past 6 months or so, it's gotten harder to enter the US. So we'll probably be seeing fewer new faces.

@ JC0110

To give my own anecdote, any club that that has Hispanic dancers (Cubans, Columbian, etc) generally have higher rates of extras and those extras are reasonably priced (500 or lower).

In contrast, I live near clubs where Hispanic dancers are rare and this is in Alabama, your standard Southern state. Extras cost anywhere from 800 to 1000. Either these dancers don't have a clue that escort websites exist or there is no real competition. Technically my area has cheaper options, as long as looks don't have to go past 7.

The point is that illegal immigrants provide the necessary competition to force interactions to not cost a mortgage payment.

@ Lex Luthor, I think the golden age, be it 20 to 30 years ago, simply had the benefit of people not being as perpetually online as today. Nowadays, Strippers have StripperTok and a bunch of outside influences that create this echo chamber that they should be making 1000 minimum every night. That's certainly possible, but the reality is that Stripper wages are directly proportional to the economy their male clients have. Some areas just have better traffic for strippers than others.

Having these idealistic views to getting rich quick is the problem. The truth is that strippers have to learn the game in their respective counties.

@Owl nominally at least, in order to justify immigration to address labor shortages, the gubment is supposed to show that current legal residents cannot be found to do the occupation. Immigrants are not supposed to be allowed in to reduce compensation for an occupation. But it practice, there's a lot of evidence that immigrants in the US with an H1B or L1 visa push down compensation in the occupations they work it.

The economy will be a bigger factor in strip club quality. Over the years, I have run into longtime strippers who said business has never been as good after the 2008 economic crash. Less high spending customers equals lower quality dancers. I voted for Trump but I think the economy will continue to deteriorate. Government spending is too high and that will not change until we reach an economic crisis.
