Just sending out a notice that I'll be in TJ for a little bit. Would love the chance to catch up with some of you gentlemen and have company to take on some of the meseros. They're getting outta control recently I've heard.

Anywyas, if anyone is around these days feel free to contact me!

What is wrong with the meseros? I usually go on early in the week so maybe not as bad as weekends? I'm actually going in a few days so I'll report back.

Mesero means waiter. Is there some slang that I'm not aware of ?

I was recently in HK (review to come soon) and honestly I don't know what the big fuss is about the meseros. They come around with their little tray menu thing asking if u want food, you say no thanks and they go away. They say you want a table/drink when you walk in, you say no thanks I'm walking around and they go away.

Sure the main annoying thing they do is pick up the girls bottle when there is still a bit left in it and try to get another drink sold, but at that point you should know if you want to keep the ficha party going for a bit longer or if it's over one way or another (going your separate ways or going together to a room). And I've never experienced or seen them try to stop a high mileage ficha dance and force the PL to pay the $25 or whatever for a private lapdance. So yeah I don't see them as half bad, maybe yall can share your bad experiences with them.

The problems aren't so much with the Mesero's as they are with the HK managers and the lap dance people from the Miami Room patrolling the entire Hong Kong Club and stoping the girls from a lap dance out in the club... Pushing for the sales of the 5 minute (or longer) private dances.

That's one of the rules that they made in the last couple of years that stifles the fun in the showroom. other new rules in the last few years deal with how long the girls stays with you arriba... even in your own overnight.room.
And it's not equally enforced.

Wish I could join you! I'll be back next in December to spread some holiday cheer to the chicas.

My favorite trick for deflecting meseros, botaneros, flower boys, and even the weird dude who comes around with that antique electrical device:

"Ahorita", with a wave of the hand.

Maybe there's a different definition of Ahorita that you know. The definition I see is 'right now'.

It must be the wave of the hand.

Ahorita is really versatile in Mexico specifically. It can mean two things:

* Right now.
* Later / whenever I get around to it / maybe never

See here for some examples. https://doorwaytomexico.com/paulina/ahor…

You're definitely right that the wave of the hand is key. If you say "Ahorita" gleefully with two thumbs up that mesero is going to assume you want to order food. If you say it with a wave of the hand, it's a polite and concise way of saying "I'm not interested, maybe later"
