That's the club that was most recently known as Gold Club, previously known by a few names including Pink Pony and Crazy Horse.
Word on the street was that they gave up on making that a strip club and it was set to go back to some sort of light industrial type place. I kinda believed the rumors since last time I drove by it looked like someone had gutted the inside as many of those fixtures and furniture pieces were sitting outside in what looked to be a yard sale in the making.
Pretty sure both do. I didn't see a listing in Riviera Beach though? And I thought that club was recently bought by Aces, the same people who own the Aces in Cocoa Beach. That location is fucked though, I can't see anyone ever succeeding there long term.
So is the Pompano location of the former Gold Club, yet the same people owned both locations, I had a conversation a few months ago with another club owner, said some people think they can spend enough money to compensate for a lousy location, but those two locations are proof that you really can’t.
The one in Riviera has had problems with violence as far back as I can remember. But like 25 said, I don't think that's strictly the issue. The issue there I think is the location. It's fine for the sort of vibe they're going for, but the issue with that crowd is they're fickle and once it ceases to be new they get bored and move on to the next shiny new spot. That location isn't really conducive to the kind of place that would draw in regular traffic, it's real out of the way.
At Gold Club in Pompano, IMO it was primarily poor management that did them in over and over. They did stupid shit like make table dances tops on and no contact, while at every other club in the area they're topless with heavy contact. They tolerated and supported violent drug dealers as customers, taking sides with them over their own employees. They let girls come and go as they please. They get mixed up in political bullshit like not serving Bud Light over their stupid controversy. They didn't keep consistent hours; opening late, shutting down early, or just randomly being closed some days. I'm not about to buy the place, but I'd bet that if a couple of managers from one of the other successful clubs found someone to fund them and they replicated the formula of the big three it could very easily turn into the big 4 over there. Or if Diamond Dolls wanted to simply move into a larger building, I have little doubt they could pull it off.
