Oh, and your first link is paywalled....at least for me.
In order not to get to 1984,America needs to fight:
1. Hate crime laws, now used for doing donuts on pride flag crosswalks
2. Democrats leaning on social media and deputizing censorship
3. Prosecuting doctors who tip off that children's hospitals are doing sex change surgeries on younger and younger children and pro-life protesters that go a little too close to the clinic entrance and threatening them with double digit years while not prosecuting pregnancy crisis center clinic firebombings because "it was too dark."
4. Not releasing the manifestos of the Nashville trans shooter who wanted to shoot "white privileged Christian kids", because it'll "hurt a vulnerable group" while the manifesto of any shooter with alt right leanings get published before the bodies reach room temperature.
5. Molesting the law to charge the lead opposition candidate with felonies while slow-walking prosecution of the president's son who acted explicitly as a foreign agent
The only "rights" the left cares about are abortion up to the moment of birth, medical child abuse with unstudied puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, pedarastic books in school libraries, and the right to riot in service of left-approved causes.
Libs on this board have me considering donating a few more thousand to the RNC.
C'mon man, you've shown stronger aptitude in past posts.
Most of us all sit in a gray area on each of those topics, it's not all black and white.
It's like me calling all "lefts" racists. Sure, there's a segment on the left that is extreme, but that doesn't define the party right? Nor should you define a whole party on three topics of progressive rights. To be fair though, what you define as progressive is probably different than mine.....and my definition of extreme ass puckering, I mean extreme conservative are probably different than yours.
I assert that we're all closer than we think towards the middle here.
But calling out misinformation is not only correct, but necessary.
OK, maybe the word "only" is an exaggeration, but which side is stifling it? I can substantiate every bullet with an example.
@wld4tatas - yes, free speech as long as you don't say anything "racist," "sexist," "-phobic," "-misic," or otherwise triggering to the left. Again, no evidence. Elon has it right, letting EVERYONE be a fact checker, rather than certain groups who are always calling one side "liars" and the others "needing context."
The lab leak hypothesis was "false information" until it wasn't, among other things.
You think you'll never be on the wrong side of wrongthink, until you are.
The side against free speech are never the good guys.

Well, not always.
Remember when the University of Florida withdrew its scholarship offer from four-star (white) quarterback Marcus Stokes after video emerged of him singing song lyrics that contained the N-word.
Yet, I can show you at least a dozen videos of WNBA Angel Reese doing the exact same thing and not a word
@motorhead do you remember that ?
More than 60 years ago, folk singer Phil Ochs at least was honest enough to call out his fellow libs.
“I love Puerto Ricans and Negros,
as long as they don't move next door.
So love me, love me, love me, I'm a liberal”
They want DEI but cross the street when a black man comes their way in Cambridge.
They want to eliminate gifted programs in the name of "equity" but send their kids to Phillips Exeter.
They love the working class but will put them out of work as readily as any Chamber of Commerce Republican. Look at the likes of Blackrock, for one.
They love poor people as long as they work the kitchens for sub-living wages, and live at least 90 minutes' commute away so they don't depress property values.
They love green energy until offshore windmills spoil their ocean view.
They hate the police and guns until riots come near their development, in which case they want to be protected by armed guards.
They love illegal immigrants but don't want them anywhere nearby.
They're some of the worst hypocrites on the planet.
And that explains why I will always be around to correct your leftist shill misinformation testesboi!
Well look at that, @motorhead talking about honesty, but unwilling to admit his Taco Bell story was dishonest.
Just remember, in those countries the political leaders who have power & control, and the strong supporters, live VERY well. the vast majority suffer "equally".
The best current example is how Venezuela took less than 10 years to crater, as well as Cuba. Canada ain't too far behind.

Asked and answered. Inflation is a complex issue. Not one person is responsible. But supply chain issues and too much macroeconomic stimulus did happen under Biden’s watch.
Is it entirely his fault? No, of course not. But as a fellow Democrat said “the buck stops here”
Some serious egg on faces here!

One or two random stories are evidence of a widespread issue, LOL right. Classic right wing programming. And such weak examples too - mainly an effort to combat Covid misinformation, and a voluntarily made choice on the Hunter story.
The evidence for "free speech is alive and well" is right here on TUSCL, and a million other social platforms in the US, where people post almost any manner of thought and expression freely.
Please seek help, @Puddy Tat
Wipe down your face.
The list of tech companies and leftie media which have admitted to censoring Americans, kowtowing to the demands of the corrupt Biden/Harris Admin, and being derelict in their duties as impartial conveyors of information keeps growing. Twitter, NYT, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, Alphabet, and now Meta are admitting what the open-minded amongst us have been certain of for years- they are lying to us. Even worse, they help our government suppress the truth and spread disinformation.
A lot of people are pushing the argument that left or right, democrat party or Republican, we all want what is best for our country. If you support state-run media, government disinformation, and government censorship of speech and truth; then you clearly do not want what is best for our country.
