the Presidential Medal of Freedom," he said. "That's the highest award you can get as a civilian. It's the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor, but civilian version, it's actually much better, because everyone gets the Congressional Medal of Honor, they're soldiers. They're either in very bad shape because they've been hit so many times by bullets, or they're dead.

What a insensitive asshole

I read an out of context Trump quote on a strip club site, therefore I'm emptying my brokerage account to the Harris campaign and DNC.
Thanks for showing me the light!

Another example of people making voting decisions based on their feel-feels being hurt, rather than who will be better for their lives.

When it's Trump, "taken out of context...."

When it's Harris, "she's stupid....word salad......unprepared...."

You guys are fucking tards. It goes both ways.

And for the record, I agree that his words are not how the OP

Puddy - do you know the context? Once you look into it, does it make the quote better? If you're going to pretend like the point is irrelevant it would be good to back it up with the absolving truth. Also the larger context is that this guy continues to say asinine things that consistently illustrate why he's not fit for the presidency. Claiming fake news is just false comfort.

"do you know the context? Once you look into it, does it make the quote better?"

It says the civilian medal draws from a larger pool.

"Also the larger context is that this guy continues to say asinine things that consistently illustrate why he's not fit for the presidency"

Says asinine and mean things vs wants to implement price controls which only equal shortages and misery, subsidies for housing that are going to jack prices up, an uncontrolled and chaotic border, a hugely inflationary budget, offloading student debt into the American taxpayer, spreading our asshole to Iran and China and Ukraine with no grand strategy.

I can deal with unintelligible word salads over the disaster that his opponents would be.

If you dont want war with China and Iran, means youre spreading your asshole?
They are world superpowers. Anyone in their senses would try to maintain a truce of some sort. What’s laughable is mindlessly and maniacally wanting war with China or Iran because israel asked you to. Or doing anything because another country asked you to.

We live in a world where people are willing to kill for money.
I wonder how many people want war because they can make a bit of money off stocks like lockheed martin, boeing, raytheon, etc? Right winger’s unfortunately are more likely to be selfish than socialists.
Theres also a fine line between using lethal force to defend private property, and using it to gain additional additional property. Now you throw in a country like Iran or China into the picture- a country that can be labelled as evil and corrupt… and you suddenly see how these people cross that line- and want millions or billions dead since it can bring some stock profits.

They’re fine with Israel killing millions/billions for stealing additional land, and they want to wipe out china and iran to make a few bucks on their weapons stocks.

In other news, ducks quacked today. At what point does it become pointless to pay attention to an idiot being an idiot? Anyone who isn't an idiot realized he's an idiot a long time ago. To be fair, idiot savant, since he has extraordinary skill at being what's known these days as an "influencer". Maybe even more so than the Kardashians.

Fortunately many, maybe most, of the people who vote for him realize he's an idiot. He's only a contender because sensible voting involves picking the least bad option. For somebody who lost their house because their job went overseas, I can understand why they could never vote to the Clintonist Democrat party.

Even the Trump surrogates on the Sunday morning news programs couldn't defend this idiotic remark.

It turns out this isn't the first time Trump has offended veterans and the VFW. Back in January 2020, he discussed the brain injuries suffered by US troops after an Iranian missile attack on bases housing U.S. troops in Iraq that month. He dismissed the blast-related injuries as "headaches" that were "not very serious".

^ I'm in the "voting for him despite knowing he's an idiot savant" camp, for the first time ever, as an alternative to the most left wing Senator firing her tenure, and arguably the most left wing governor now. Harris and Walz are fucking loco... price controls? Have we really not learned from the 70s, the USSR, Venezuela, every fucking city that has tried rent control in the last few decades? Anyone who so much as got a D in intro to economics knows what this leads to.

Bill Clinton has drifted left with the Democratic party but I would vote for 1992 Clinton over these two fuckups. 1992 Clinton would be a moderate Republican today.

I vote for people who help promote policies that improve American Citizens. Yeah, Trump has said some really dumb things, no doubt, however his policies work way WAY better than the alternative. No one can name a thing Harris or Walz have done that actually improves American Citizens, not Illegals, lives. Harris and Walz can't even name root causes for the severe problems we have. And, Congressional backing is required.

All these things VP Harris says she'll "do" when elected: Where has she (she is a She, right?) been for 3.5 years, staring at the Moon in amazement?

Saw this quote today and made me laugh

“Given that Trump only talks about relitigating the last election, a wall he never built, trying to distance himself from Project 2025 and something about sharks and Hannibal Lecter, the fact that the media is obsessed with the number of positions Harris has articulated to date is absurd,” said former Gov. Steve Bullock of Montana.

Another veterans/army related PR disaster from the Trump campaign last week. This might be the worst one yet.

Trump and team violated federal law to get a photo op at Arlington National Cemetery. They were informed about the law, and a site staffer tried to stop them from taking photos. But they pushed the staffer aside and went ahead. Afterwards, Trump's campaign manager publicly insulted the staffer. All of this forced the US Army to issue a statement rebuking the Trump campaign.

“Participants in the August 26th ceremony and the subsequent Section 60 visit were made aware of federal laws, Army regulations and DoD policies, which clearly prohibit political activities on cemetery grounds. An ANC employee who attempted to ensure adherence to these rules was abruptly pushed aside,” the Army spokesperson said in the statement on Thursday.

This is disgusting.

^ Look you’re always defending behavior that’s shameful and you should know better, you can double down on anything you want and I’m sure as fuck not trying to change your opinion, still you don’t have to defend the indefensible.
As far as who hates the troops, let’s just keep in mind those 5 deferments that he purchased with daddy’s money, goes to show he’s just an entitled phony, he doesn’t need to be punching down all the time and that’s real.
Puddy Tat

^ Shameful? I defer to the Gold Star families on that. They seem to think Harris pretending this didn't happen and the withdrawal was a "success" (ROFL) was a lot more shameful.

Is Trump entitled and punches down? Yeah but it's not relevant.

Trump was asked to be there by the families of soldiers buried in the cemetery, and it was the families' choice that Trump provide the photographers. I don't agree that, because a veteran is buried in a military cemetery, the family should lose the right to gather in memory of the vet, and invite who they want. It's roughly as political as when Biden tried to call the wife of the man who was killed by Trump's would-be assassan. Would be best for the country if we didn't think the worst of either act. Just honor those lost and sympathize with their families.

I don’t disagree with you about the families have the right to invite who they want, what I find disturbing is a former CIC disregarding the rules at ANC, problem is the event wasn’t organized by the Gold Star families it was organized by the Trump campaign and they had an obligation to honor the rules not disregard them.

Sanders used to be one of the few honest people in the Senate (despite his policies being complete butthole-brains) but he's sold out to woke in recent years too. You remember in 2020 when the primary candidates were trying to out-left each other, and he said he'd offer free abortions to illegal immigrants? Then Julian Castro said he'd offer them to trans women! Motherfucker they don't even have a uterus!
