I don’t get the economic model for porn. I’ve never paid one cent to view internet porn and have access to a virtually unlimited supply. How do they make money? I guess there’s guys who actually pay - but there can’t be many and the can’t pay much.

Thinking there aren't many people paying for porn is just a dumb take. If the premium porn companies weren't absolutely raking in cash, they wouldn't keep putting stuff out.

Sadly the porn and SW industries are littered with beautiful young people who die too soon. The fact that I used the word “littered” would suggest that society considers the people in the porn and SW world to be throw-away souls, used up for our entertainment and then discarded. No wonder so many think of themselves in the same way.

Pornstars and sex workers deal with inner and external demons that those of us in our comfortable suburban lifestyles would never understand. It’s a “chicken or egg” situation, or probably both. The industry attracts people with these demons and also creates and perpetuates it.

So the answer to “why was she suicidal” or “what did she do with all the money” cannot be answered in a way that most of us would ever understand. It just is, and it’s just sad.
