it's a long day at work and lunch time hasn't even arrived yet.
i posted one of these puzzles several months ago so i figured why not now for #2. this one popped up on the youtube site. it's a cool one. anyway here goes:
alice and bob can complete a job in 2 hours
alice and charlie can complete the same job in 3 hours
charlie and bob can complete a job in 4 hours
how long would the job take to be completed if all 3 worked together?

4B + 4C = X
A= X/2 - B
A= X/3 - C
C= X/4 - B
A= X/3 - X/4 + B
A= X/3 - X/4 + x/2 -A
2A = x/3 -X/4 + X/2
4X - 3X + 6X = 24A
7X = 24 A

Mark ape, you spent far too much time on this and missed the point.
How long would it take Alice, Bob, and Charlie to complete a job? Simple, the job in question will never be completed. Let’s assume Alice is a sexy female hairless ape who is amazingly horny. She will engage in a three way with Bob and Charlie so maybe a few blow jobs will be completed, but eventually Bob and Charlie will cross swords and freak out leaving poor Alice to masturbate on her own. That’s when the ricks will swoop in and take care of her. ROAR!!!
B accomplishes 5/24 of the task each hour
C accomplishes 1/24 of the task each hour
Working together, they accomplish 13/24 of the task per hour
It takes 1 hour and 11/24 hour ( 27.5 minutes )
