i posted one of these puzzles several months ago so i figured why not now for #2. this one popped up on the youtube site. it's a cool one. anyway here goes:
alice and bob can complete a job in 2 hours
alice and charlie can complete the same job in 3 hours
charlie and bob can complete a job in 4 hours
how long would the job take to be completed if all 3 worked together?
A = one hour of Alice work
2A + 2B = X 3A+ 3C = X 4B + 4C = X
A= X/2 - B A= X/3 - C C= X/4 - B
A= X/3 - X/4 + B A= X/3 - X/4 + x/2 -A
2A = x/3 -X/4 + X/2
4X - 3X + 6X = 24A
7X = 24 A
Alice accomplishes 7/24 of the task each hour

How long would it take Alice, Bob, and Charlie to complete a job? Simple, the job in question will never be completed. Let’s assume Alice is a sexy female hairless ape who is amazingly horny. I got frustrated, looked it up online, kept my mouth shut so as not to spoil it, and now I can't remember the answer.
