[First timer] Reducing risk & Big thanks to SenvinHagnaur
xeasy80
First of all, big thanks to @sevinhagnaur for his comprehensive guide.
If you are like me and want to avoid risk as much as possible, follow his comprehensive guide to beginners - it is absolutely useful (posted on Oct 11th 2022) and then add these few things to the list:
1) When you get out of Immigration/Border complex, you will walk for a while and finally get to a rotating metal gate. While walking there, you will see Zone Norte's (this is the free shuttle to HK or Hotel) board on your right. When you get out, take right and keep walking on the main road (there is right turn after 50 meters - no need to take that) and in 100+ meters, you will see Zone Norte's office main entrance on this road. There must be some HK taxi/limo at that place but if not, you can wait in office. It seems safe as it is entrance back to US.
2) If you take HK shuttle, you get out right in front of the HK and/or Hotel and there are security at that place. So, 0-.1% risk
3) Water is available for a $1 in the hotel, so, if you want to avoid going to store (like me), that is also avoided.
With these, literally, you are not going outside of the Hotel and HK.
4) YOu can ask for HK Limo/Taxi for returning, the guy in the front arrange for it. No risk as you next to security entrance
Immigration tip: (use it as you see fit)
I came back to US at 2-2:30a, literally 1 person was in front of me.
As I was in San Diego, I went at 6pm and came back at 2:30a.
No crowd both ways.

TJ is relatively SAFE and you will have not a problem if you take the 5 minutes FREE LIMO RIDE to Hong Kong and stay at the CASCADAS HOTEL after you use the PedEast Border crossing.

With the right mindset, using common sense and realistic expectations, most heterosexual men will have a good time there, free from stress.
Good Times, Good Times.
And how about homos like you cj, do you guys have a good time there too?

There is no more danger in going to Tijuana or even the Zona in Tijuana than there is going to certain areas of most larger cities in the US. You all do know that literally a 100,000 people cross the border EVERY day and there is virtually NEVER a death of a US national in Tijuana, other than the odd heart attack or car accident?
Just keep in mind you are in a foreign country and be respectful of that. It will look and feel different and they have some slightly different rules that need to be followed. Act like you would if you travelled to Las Vegas, Memphis or Miami. Don’t travel to the ghetto areas (and that does not include Zona Norte) and use your common sense. And stop worrying so much that you can’t enjoy life.

TheeOSU, if that is what floats your boat, I am sure there is a club for you in TJ. However, making ass-hump-sons and projecting your proclivities on others should be done on another forum where you can get the help you need. Message DS. I am sure that he has a number of people ready for an intervention filling his speed dial list.
Congratulations on escaping the rubber room long enough to make useless posts. I am sure that DS can also provide tips on how to escape mommy’s basement. Give a monkey a typewriter and eventually he will troll a forum.
