Is Follies in Atlanta re-opening ??

MAGA-Tards are low IQ pieces of shit
I was talking to an AA dancer at Vivide in Atlanta and she said Follies might be re-opening early next year!

She couldn't provide any more details but said she worked there in 2019 and is already being scheduled to go back. She said some of the Cuban dayshift dancers at Vivide will be making plans to go back to Follies as well since the cash was better.

Anyone heard anything about this?

    Follies has already re-opened.

The building is a restaurant now under a new name.

Would have to be another location yes ? Didn’t they sell the land and tear the place down ?

I doubt that Follies will be reopening. The former location was sold and is now a restaurant named Batsi. Follies owners could find a new location. But the problem will be getting a liquor license. Platinum and Oasis have recently closed and they face the same problem.

I've never seen a club re-open and it be the same. Some clubs renovate and stay in the same building, others relocate and maybe keep the same name. But it is not the same.

The current Vivid was billed as the "Follies dayshift" and I'm sure as much fun as it may be, no one considers the current experience the same as before.

There is no turning back the clock. It's already been 2 years. Let it go.

Oh well, I guess a restaurant in the old Follies building is the final say on the matter, unless they find a new location. I had no idea that Platinum also closed, what the hell is going on with the Atlanta clubs? Used to be such a happening place. I had to check out Vivide but I went at night and it kinda sucked. The club itself is dumpy compared to how nice Follies was. I guess dayshift is supposed to be a lot better but who knows, I doubt I will ever go back.

“what the hell is going on with the Atlanta clubs?”

I’ve never been to an Atlanta club despite driving (and flying) thru Atlanta more times than I care to count.

But I too think about that question. Back in the mid to late 90’s wasn’t Atlanta a strip club mecca? I remember those stores of NBA players have sex in the Champagne rooms long before it became more accessible

So if Atlanta or Gerogia is cracking down on extras, what do the extras dancers move on to? Do they become escorts?

One should take with-a-grain-of-salt what someone says in a strip-club whether it's a dancer or not.

Follies was a huge-money-maker so one would think there may be some incentive from the former-owners to try and reopen somewhere someway - but this is only an assumption - strip-club-history for-the-most-part shows that great clubs often don't reincarnate after closing down; and the few that do may not necessarily be as good as the original - anything is possible; but I would not pin my hopes on what a stripper says.

^ sometimes dancers do have some good inside-info; but often times they are opining, if not just talking out of their ass

Follies had 2 owners. One was a retired attorney. They were both senior citizens. I doubt that they need money or are interested in fighting city hall again.

What was the fight with City Hall about? Were there violent incidents in/near the clubs? Or was it the "let's rescue the trafficked women by making them drop the fries and drive for Uber" thing? I'm thinking about moving to Altanta, but it's a big downside if Georgia's turning into South Tennessee (Pastieland).

Ilbbaicnl - Follies was located in the City Of Chamblee and they wanted to eliminate the only strip club in the city. The city of Atlanta still has a lot of clubs. Especially black clubs. A few are no touch clubs but most allow at least some form of contact. Memphis was great in it's day. Too bad. I think Ga is better than the other SE states except for FL which is much better.

I talked to a few girls that danced at Follies. They said it will not reopen. To much of a legal hassle.

FL doesn´t sound that great from the reviews. Tampa sounds kinda like Vegas. Lots of clubs where you can´t get just one song with a dancer you´re not familiar with. You have to pay (and potentially waste) $100+ to see if you click with her.

You can always check the state's website for an active or renewed business license. Everybody always knows something "on high authority" which should be taken with a huge grain of salt. You're better off researching it yourself for answers than asking TUSCL.

Ilba, isnt that any club where you have to pay $100 to see if you click with a dancer? Its usually only 3 songs, so most clubs you’ll likely need to spend at least that.

Bubbleyum, net-net fair points all around!

I've been to the touristy Tampa clubs like Mons Venus and 2001 Odyssey and it's pretty much like Vegas. Lots of ass rubbing in the back rooms but not much else. Once in awhile, you will find a Cuban who will let you suck on her nipples to your heart's content but it's not a common thing like at Baby Dolls in Dallas or Gold Rush in Miami. Overall, the Tampa scene is lame and I would go to the Miami clubs if you want real ITC action, but you better have the cash for it because it aint cheap.
