So I just tried to visit Palominos after Chicas Bonitas closed on a Monday at 2am. I was wearing a tank top and the dress code prohibits that so they were gonna sell me a black shirt that says 'I love ass' for $25, which I was actually willing to do. Then they said that the cover would be $66. That, I was NOT willing to do. If a club like Sapphire or Spearmint Rhino only charges $50 or less, why the hell does an off strip club like the Palomino charge so much for cover? No thanks.

The Palomino has been charging $60 for a while now. But it's at the bouncers discretion.
They charge that much for the same reason any business price gouges. They can. And people are willing to pay. It's gone down hill anyways though.

Do they charge $66 cover because you got a limo or Uber ride? What if you drive yourself?
If you go before 7-7:30 good chance you get in for free. You can also try bribing the door person for $10-20. If there's a crowd, forget about it
I went to watch Sunday night football, the first NFL weekend. Free shots with every score and no cover. I concur with the 7 - 7:30 idea.
