I was both sad and shocked - so young and a pro athlete in peak physical condition

Former Patriot, past his prime at the time. Looks like he had a seizure and unfortunately was alone. Has to be related to head injuries.

There’s a lot of NFL players with the unnecessary “D” in front of their first names. Andre is a fine name - why make D’Andrea?
I get them all confused.
That said - RIP Demaryous.

Very sad.

It’s too early to speculate on the cause of death but if it turns out to be CTE related, then it’s another strike against the NFL relative to head injuries.

There was a question in a sports group that asked “if you woke up 30 years from now, how would sports look?”

I predict there will be no NFL. at least not the same game we see day

his career was projecting along real nicely in a similar pattern as rod smith did. then for whatever reason(s) he wound up with houston and the jets. then poof just disappeared.

he and emmanuel sanders were one of the best wr tandems in nfl history

^ his career was derailed by a hip injury.

Here is an article that touches on that.

RIP to DT. Former player at 33 ? Shoot, Tom Brady was just getting started at that age. It seems that running backs aren't known for having a long NFL career. Slight OT drift- running backs have the lowest Wondrlic Test scores. Highest scoring position: Offensive Tackle.

I used to see him amd Von Miller at PT's All Nude a few years ago. One weekend night when it was standimg room only, i was standing near a stage and got shoved out of the way suddenly. I looked the direction I had been shoved from and There was DT throwing ones and making it rain.

Another night, i was walking uo to the door behind a couple guys and one holds the door for me, it was DT.

I heard from club staff that he would pay off the DJ and management to keep the club open past closing if he was not done partying yet, lol

RIP DT

"... It seems that running backs aren't known for having a long NFL career ..."

He was a wide receiver not a running back - his last season is listed as 2019 so he was in the league 10-years which is pretty-good for most positions particularly for positions that require speed and athletic ability.
